Log in as an author to submit a manuscript
Section I. Log in as an Author
Step 1. Log in
Go to EyeBankingJournal.orgNew users registerReturning users log in
Step 2. Click Author
Article submission screens are unavailable when you select another role such as Reviewer or Reader
Step 3. Start a New Submission
Select Click Here to start a new submissionYour previous submissions are also listed on
the Active Submissions screen
Follow 5 steps to complete the submission process

Click Save and continue before going to another step
An asterisk * signifies a required fieldManuscripts will be considered only when all
forms and information are received
Step 1. Starting the Submission
Select a section from the drop down menuFor a description of the sections and policies,
click the About the Journal link.

Hints
Collect signed Author’s Declaration and Copyright License forms and Author’s Disclosure forms from all authors
If electronic signatures are not possible, print, sign, and scan documents.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen to add optional Comments for the Editor
Click the Save and continue button
Step 2. Uploading the Submission
Upload your manuscript as an MS Word file
Remove identifying from MS Word and PDF files See Ensuring a Blind Peer Review
Click Save and continue
Step 3. Entering Metadata
Metadata is information about authors and manuscripts
It’s used by search and indexing services such as Google Scholar and PubMed
Enables readers and researchers to find articles by various parameters such as Title Keywords Author name

Click Add Authors to create fields for coauthor metadata

Required metadata includes Names of all authors Manuscript title Abstract References
Optional metadata includes Keywords Author Bio
Hints
References can be copied from the manuscript and pasted into the metadata field
References must contain digital object identifiers (DOI) when available DOIs are unique alphanumeric strings assigned to
digital media such as articles. They are used to locate articles on the Internet

Step 3. Entering Metadata
Click Save and continue
Step 4. Uploading Supplementary Files
Upload Author’s Declaration and Copyright License and Author’s Disclosure forms for all authors
Manuscripts are only considered after these are received
Upload any other items not included in the manuscript, e.g. data sets
Click Save and continue
Step 5. Confirming the Submission
This is the final stepAuthors cannot access or delete manuscripts
once Save and continue is pressedAdditional supplemental documents can be
added after submissionIf incorrect file was uploaded, contact the
journal manager
