how to stop being lazy & start kicking ass!
TRANSCRIPT
When you think about the work you’re about to do tomorrow, what thought comes to your mind: “Oh
YEAH!!!” OR “Oh shit…” ?
It’s the symptom of one or several problems going on under the surface and if you want to stop being
lazy once and for all, we’ve got to challenge those.
There were several times in my life where I felt the same way – drained of energy, with no
purpose and no enthusiasm – but I’ve found several causes of this condition and how to deal
with them.
It’s really hard to work hard and with passion, energy, and enthusiasm at something you
genuinely hate.
If you’re going to a job that is sucking the life out of you, you’ve got no obligation to continue doing
it. I don’t care what your parents and your teachers told you years ago, it’s your life, not
theirs.
It simply ain’t worth it trading your dreams and your passion for the so-called ‘job security’. That’s
bullshit.
The truth is you can do what you love, what you’re passionate about, what puts a smile on your face,
and fills your body with energy every day.
People are goal-driven beings. We need a specific target to shoot at or else we’ll just slack
off and get distracted.
When you don’t know what you want, you’re just like sun – its light is all over the place and it can
make you feel warm, but that’s it.
But you’ve got to have some serious goals. If all you’re aiming at is just enough to pay your bills,
you’ll always be struggling.
Maybe you want to move to Bali, maybe you want to become a pro athlete, maybe you want to
provide a great life for your 2-year-old daughter…
There is no tomorrow, there is no later, there is no yesterday. None of it matters. What matters is
what you do right here, right now.
How hard would you work if somebody put a gun to your head and told you to do 10x what you
normally do, or else they’ll pull the trigger?
You’re either gonna bust your ass like there’s no tomorrow and make your dreams happen, or
something’s going to happen that will force you to start busting your ass.
Notice how all the steps fit together to create a solid whole – do what you love, set outrageous goals, know why you want them, and work like
there’s no tomorrow.
In the end, it’s the work that produces the result BUT you won’t do the work unless you’ve got the
previous 3 steps taken care of.
