• Go to www.rita.co.uk using the Google Chrome browser (not Internet Explorer or Safari)

• Sign in to your account

• Enter login details or create account

• Create a new presentation

• Add interactive and PowerPoint slides by dragging

• Tailor any interactive slides by clicking on titles or on “Edit poll data”

• Edit slide title by clicking on it

• Save presentation when finished

• Test presentation by clicking start

• Set a passphrase to control access to your presentation (eg your initials) and an expiry date (a date after your presentation)

• On any one iPad – connect to the internet using Wi-Fi (in settings)

• LCP Open and LCP ADSL work on the 7th and 8th floors in OBS and LCP Open on the ground floor in WInchester

• Launch RITA (p2p)

• Use as controller and download presentation

• If option to download doesn’t appear check you have internet access

4. Download your presentation onto iPads*This step is only required if using Peer-to-peer app*

• Enter login details and download

• You will be prompted for a passphrase and expiry date.

• Passphrase controls access to the presentation (eg your initials). Expiry date is date that presentation will be saved on all iPads till (set to a date after your presentation).

• Plug in the airport router, and connect all iPads (Including the one you downloaded presentation on to) to LCP_Mobile[#] (eg LCP_Mobile1 etc).

• Go back to RITA, and run presentation on controller. The other iPads will start downloading the presentation.

• Plug in router into mains (takes a couple of minutes to start up)

Only required for overlord laptop or peer to peer version

• Connect ALL iPads to the router via WiFi (LCP_Mobile[#] – eg LCP_Mobile1 etc)

• Other iPads Will be prompted for passphrase/PIN.

• Name is optional

• PIN and Passphrase can be obtained by pressing the control cog and going to info on the control iPad

5b. Run your session * if using overlord laptop or web version *

• On your iPad, sign in to your account, enter your login details

• Start presentation

• On all other iPads, enter the PIN/passphrase. Name is optional.

• PIN/passphrase Can be obtained by pressing the control cog and going to info on the control iPad

Issue Try these solutions

Some iPads not connecting to control before presentation has begun (using peer-to-peer version)

1. Check all iPads are connected to LCP Mobile and are on the same session.

2. Try pressing restart session on iPads that are not connected.

Slides on some iPads have stopped updating halfway through presentation (they have lost connection)

1. Press “connect” under your control cog (peer-to-peer version)

2. Check iPads are connected to LCP Mobile (or web if using online version)

3. Turn the offending iPads off and on again

4. Try resetting network (turn airport router off/on). Wait a couple of minutes. (not possible for web version)

If you have any problems – first try exiting and re-entering RITA. If problems continue, see below
