Hello Everyone!

Here is a easy step by step tutorial on how to set your privacy

settings.

So lets get started!

First, click on the “arrow” on your top right corner of your Facebook page.

Then, click on “settings”.

It will direct you to a general account setting page. On the left side of your Facebook page, click on “Privacy”.

In your privacy settings page, you can set your privacy by who can see my stuff?, who can contact me? And who can look me up?

So let’s start with the first one,which is who can see your future post. Click on “edit”.

Here you can set your audience of your future post. You have a option of Public, Friends, and if you click on more options

You can also choose only me and custom. If you click on custom,..

A pop out will appear and you can select audience you would like to share or do not share your post with.

You can select your audience by typing their names individually. After your done, click on “save changes”.

The next is who will review all your post and things you are tagged in. Click on “activity log”.

Then click on include me only activities

Here are all your recent post and pictures / post that you are tagged in. To change the viewing audience of your post, click on the earth icon on the right.

Then, you can choose to share it with Public, Friends, Only me and Custom

Next, Click on the pencil icon on the right.

This settings allows you to highlight your post on timeline or hidden from timeline.

After your done with your settings, go back to the privacy settings page.

Lets move on to the next one, which is limit the audience for post you’ve shared with friends of friends or public. Click on “limit past post”.

As you can see in the description. This settings enables all your post to be changed to friends. If you would like that, click on “limit old post”.

A pop out wil appear to reconfirm and ask you to proceed.

Then, we will move on to who can contact me?. The first setting is who can send you a friend request? Click on “edit” to change the settings.

You can choose for everyone or friends of friends that can send you a friend request on Facebook.

Next is whose message do I want filtered into my Inbox? As you can see my settings is basic filtering. Click on “edit” to change it.

The recommended is basic filtering where all friends and people you may know filtered in your inbox, whereas strict filtering mostly see messages from friends. Messages from others might go to another folder.

Then, we look into who can look me up? First who can look you up using the email address you provided? Click on “edit”.

You can choose everyone , friends of friends or friends that can look you up using the email address you given.

Next is who can look you up using the phone number you provided? I don’t know about you, but I am the kind of person that would keep numbers on privacy. So to change it, click on “edit”.

If you would like to share with your friends, click on “friends”.

Lastly, do you want other search engine to link to your timeline? Click on “edit”

This settings allows others to search link to your timeline easily. Therefore, you can click on “let other search engine link to your timeline” to change your settings.
