Slide Share Set UpHow to Set up your slide share account

By Phemie Wright

1. Go to the slide share sign up page:https://www.slideshare.net/signup

2. Insert your appropriate email, a user name you will remember, and password of your choosing.

Do security check thingy

3. Now to upload a powerpoint presentation.... come up to the top upload button (sometimes the big one below doesn't click)

4. You should arrive on this page. Click the upload publicly button (the private is for paid accounts only)

5. A pop up box will appear. Upload your power point from where it is located on your computer/usb. Do this the same way you would attach a file to an email.

6. Find your file and click on it and click open bottom right corner

7. You should get a page like this as it is uploading for you

8. A lovely little green tick should tell you what a bang up job you have done so far...

Now you can just press save and continue

Your slides should open in a new window and look something like this . You can now edit your creative commons licences (if you don't know what you want to use, check out the licences here: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/ )

9. Click the “info and settings” link below the slides

10. You will arrive on this page. Note you can edit things like category of the slides, at tags (if people are searching 'e-learning' ON slide share- put it as a search term so they might find your slides).

Click the choose a licence drop down and pick your licence

11. Pick a category while you are here...

12. Click "Update"

13. The lovely green tag line at the top saying "your changes have been saved" will confirm your awesome work!

14. Now scroll to the bottom again and click "view presentation"

15. Tada! Your slides are done! Up the top here you will see some 'sharing' options. If you want to embed this slide into a website- grab the html (tech stuff) code up here.

Click 'embed' and this will appear- click 'copy'
