    Change the “Profile Name” to something that’s meaningful to you, e.g., “CARS/STU at UCOP”.

    Make sure that all the other values in this dialog box are setup as shown. In particular, the “Host Name“ must be uccmvsb.ucop.edu.

    Click on the “OK” button.

    Your new Hummingbird Profile appears in your Hummingbird Neighborhood.

    Right-click on your new profile and click on “Properties”.

    From your “Session Profile” dialog box select “Connection” and then “TN3270”.

    Under “Host Name” select the entry uccmvsb.ucop.edu and then, select the “Edit Host Info” icon (looks like a pencil).

    In the “Edit Host Info” dialog box that appears, change the value for “TCP port” to “992” and then click “OK” to return to the “Session Profile” dialog box.

    Back at the “Session Profile dialog box ...

    Select “Security” and then “General”

    Under “Security Options” select “SSL / TLS” and then click “OK”.

  • If you use a 10-key numeric keypad, you will need to change the default keyboard setting.

    To do this, open the session profile you created in the previous step, by double-clicking on it.

    Select:

    Keyboard > General

    Uncheck the box:Ignore NumLock State

    Your new profile will appear in your “Hummingbird Neighborhood” folder. Double-click it.

    (Note: to add this profile as a shortcut on your desktop, right-click it, select “Create Shortcut” and put it in your “Desktop” folder)

    This will take you to the UCOP “Entry Validation” screen. Enter your Userid and Password. If this is your first time signing on you may be prompted to change your password.

    Press the “Enter” key.
