How to Restore your iTunes purchases

If you purchased magazines / books / subscriptions from the newsstand apps of Summit Media, then this is for you!

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

It’s not such a good idea to be in a bad mood all day long just because your previous purchases were not found in our app. This is why we want to help. Just follow these easy steps and you’ll be on way in getting your magazines/books!

All Summit Media’s Apple Newsstand apps were updated to a new publishing system. Because of the migration, your magazines and subscriptions might have been affected.

In order to restore your purchases, please follow these steps.

THREE STEPS IN RESTORING YOUR

STEP 1 – UPDATE YOUR APP

Go to App Store

Go to “Updates”.

The (title) app should appear in the list of available updates.

Tap on “UPDATE” to begin the update.

“Create an account”.

Note: This OokBee account is a separate account from your iTunes account.

You will need it to sync purchases across devices, in case you get an additional one or a replacement.

Enter the needed information and then click “Register”

Note: if you opt to receive emails from us, you will get email notifications of new issues and special promos.

After tapping “Register”, confirm your information by tapping “OK”

After confirming, you will see the storefront of the app.

anything or restore any purchases, always make sure you are signed into your OokBee account.

Tap on “Settings” in the upper right, and your registered email should appear.

After ensuring you are signed into your OokBee account, tap on “Restore iTunes Purchases”

Then tap “Start”

Enter the password for the iTunes account you used to make your old purchases.

You will then see a list of your restorable purchases. Tap on “Restore” to restore all of them at once.

Note: you will have to repeat this process each time if you want to restore individual purchases.

You will then see a list of restored purchases. Tap on “Close”

Then, go to your Magazine library by tapping on “Magazines” in the upper left.

Your library should be empty.

To complete the restore process, tap on “Update Your Library”.

Your purchases from the old app should then appear:
