Secure the wheels with chocks.

Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your RENAULT TWINGO I(CO6_) car.

The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for bothwheels on the same axle.

All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.

Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:

Remove the wheel.

To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.

Clean the brake drum. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Remove the hub bearing protection cap. Use a hammer. Use a crowbar.

Clean the wheel hub fastener. Use WD-40 spray.

Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench.

Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary.

Press out the wheel hub bearing. Use a bush and bearing driver set.

Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use WD-40 spray.

Press a new bearing into the wheel hub. Use a bush and bearing driver set.

Install the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use circlip pliers.

Tighten the hub. Use a drive socket #30. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 165 Nm torque.

The wheel bearing unit must not tilt on the axle pin.

Install the hub bearing protection cap. Use a rubber mallet.

Treat the surface where the wheel rim contacts the brake drum. Use copper grease.

Install the wheel.

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use a torque wrench.

Tighten it to 120 nm torque.
