How to Register Your New Ego Scooter Thank you for purchasing an Ego Scooter from Firebox.com. Buying a new scooter is exciting but sadly paperwork isn’t, which is why we’ve created this helpful guide on how to register your new scooter quickly and easily. What paperwork comes with your scooter? 1. On delivery of your Ego Scooter, you will receive an EC Certificate of Conformity (i.e. the European Type Approval document) for your scooter (with chassis number) and a pre-filled HM Customs and Excise form (C&E 389). Registering your Scooter and I.D check 2. Visit the DirectGov website 1 and select DVLA Form Ordering Service 2 then fill in your details and tick the box for ‘Import Pack’. (As these forms can take 7 working days to be delivered, you may wish to complete this step BEFORE your Ego Scooter is delivered to save time). The pack will contain: V55/4 form (for new vehicles), V267 form A guidance sheet on how to fill in both. (To make things easier, we have attached all sample forms below. Use the information we’ve provided to help fill out your own forms). 3. Once you have received and completed documents V55/4, V267, C&E 389 and the Certificate of Conformity, you need to either send them (by registered post) or take them in to your local DVLA office 3 . In addition you must also provide, either your photocard driving licence or one original document which confirms your name and one original document which confirms your address. Documentation confirming your name: Current DVLA paper driving licence United Kingdom or European Union or foreign passport Marriage certificate Decree nisi or absolute Birth certificate Documentation confirming your address: Utility bill valid within the last 3 months (gas, electricity, water, landline telephone) Bank or building society statement valid within the last 3 months Council tax bill for current year You will also need to take evidence showing the date the vehicle was collected (use your dispatch note from Firebox). All these documents have to be the originals but will be returned. 4. You will also need to pay a £55 registration fee to the DVLA. 5. Once checked, your identity documentation will be returned to you along with your new vehicle tax disc and licence certificate. These will enable you to obtain a number plate. Getting a number plate 7. Once the bike is registered you need to take the licence certificate to an auto shop that prepares bike number plates. 8. The number plate is then sent to you, together with the Certificate of Conformity and the documentation they have provided. How to Register Your New Ego ScooterThank you for purchasing an Ego Scooter from Firebox.com. Buying a new scooter is exciting but sadly paperwork isn’t, which is why we’ve created this helpful guide on how to register your new scooter quickly and easily.

What paperwork comes with your scooter?

1. On delivery of your Ego Scooter, you will receive an EC Certificate of Conformity (i.e. the European Type Approval document) for your scooter (with chassis number) and a pre-filled HM Customs and Excise form (C&E 389).
