• Draw the audience near to God• Grow spiritually• Change behavior / attitudes• Ignite their spiritual lives (Shine their lights)• Make a difference in their lives• Increase their knowledge:

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Ho 4:6)

Phase I

• Use Guidance:– Don't teach a lesson without running it by your

coordinator. Why?• To entertain the blessing of discipleship• To enforce the integrity of teaching:"Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in

them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you” (1 Ti 4:16)
