Step 1: Writing The Script

Here is an example of how we started to make the script. We built up the script later..

Bobby is lying on the sofa watching TV; he has a very longawkward yawn and is alarmed by a text message on his phone. Hereceives a text message from LARA (17) a very pretty classmate ofhis. BOBBY is ecstatic by this text message and opens it. He seesthat LARA has accepted to come to his house tomorrow for a date.BOBBY quickly texts back:

Step 1: Writing The Script

We later built up the script following the foundation of how to make a script by adding the conventions here are the examples.

- FADE IN- INT. LIVING ROOM

- INT. LIVING ROOM- MORNING- BOBBY is fast asleep on the sofa.- CUT TO: CLOCK TICKING

Step 2: Walk Through

As the script was created, we walked through it and acted it out. This helped us notice any problems which may occur during the final filming. We also decided to act it out in the location which will be used in order to see if any problems will occur with the location. This step was really important as it saved a lot of time changing the directors final ideas for the film.

Step 3: Location Recce

We done a location recce in order to diagnose any problems which may occur during our filming. We made notes on what will work and what wont, this ultimately helped us think of what shots we would be able to use and in what location the camera would be placed. This also gave us a visual understanding of where the actor would stand during each shot which will be taken.

Step 4: Storyboard

Combining the walk through of the script and the location recce we built up the storyboard. We decided upon using a variety of different frames, angles and shot types.

Step 5: Shooting Script

The shooting script is used in the production stage in order to save time in the final stage of filming. This gave us a brief understanding of what shots will be used during the final filming.

Step 6: Test Shooting

We done test shooting in order to help polish our final plans for the film. We improved the script and the shots that would be taken through this method as we found many problems with our initial ideas. We got familiar with the equipment and actors which would be used during the production of the film. This again saved time and helped us improve our final film.

Step 7: Film Schedule

The film schedule was the final stage before we began the shooting of our final film. The schedule was used to help us become more organised as a group and help save time. With the film schedule we was also able to determine how much time we would be using during our filming and how much time left if we wanted to improve something in the final stages.
