individual disciplines they both depicted a compelling narrative
which captivated a wide audience.

3. HOW SHOULD THEY MARKET THEMSELVES?
4. PRESS RELEASE
As a newly formed agency CAL will have to optimise SEO early on by
writing a press release detailing the intentions of the agency and
how they are going to transform the industry.
To gain the widest possible hope for articles to be written off the
back of the release CAL needs to target popular industry magazines
such as; Design Week, Campaign, Creative Review, PR Week, The Drum,
New Media Age, Vice, Marketing.
5. TWITTER
Ensuring a constantly updated agency twitter account is vital, it
will build relationships with both potential clients and the
curious public/industry people.
Twitter can however be dangerous in terms of feedback but negative
responses of agency work can be discovered and digested for work in
the future or be questioned, building a relationship with those who
engage with the agency - Through this insights can be gathered to
make communication more effective
6. LOWRYS GALLERY
As part of the agency ethos they should encourage staff to pursue
talents outside of agency life such as photography, fine art and
short film.
Each member of staff is allocated a month (if they wish) to hold an
exhibition of their work in the gallery, open to the public for a
small fee.
This gallery will not only bring a new revenue stream but also
increase the reach of the agencies message through new
audiences.
7. CARROLLS MAGAZINE
To follow up from the gallery, CAL should produce a monthly
magazine; this will showcase both some of the client work produced
by the agency aswell as some from the staff members private
collections.
The magazine will be free and act as a form of promotion for the
agency
8. REVENUE FLOW
Revenue can be simply defined as money made from a product or
service. InCALscase revenue will be gathered in the following
ways;
IN
Entrance to the gallery people will pay a small fee upon entrance
to the showroom which supports both the contributing artist and the
running costs.
OUT
Magazine costs printing of the magazine will have to be taken into
consideration with revenue; whether it is colour or black and
white, paper density and no. of pages.
Gallery space If the Gallery isnt internal, purchasing/rental
capital for the space will be required to fund the external
project.
