Why?Industry 4.0:
Increased automation
Augmenting the human with machine intelligence
Remote operations enabled through increasingly more accurate context
provided by a Digital Twin platform
Access to expertise in an increasingly fragmented workforce with full
context through that Digital Twin platform
Overview
Abyssal Ecosystem is a suite of solutions used
throughout the FEED, LoF and Decommission
stages that are all connected via a Field Digital
Twin.
The applications are always connected and
updated to/from the same data. The central data
source can be connected to multiple third-party
systems, e.g. ERPs, ROVs, GIS DBs, documentation
servers, etc.
Abyssal is leveraging this infrastructure to develop
the Command and Control of multiple subsea
assets.
Some of these tools are enhanced via machine
learning models, described further in this
document.
Subsea piloting center installed in the
ROV control room for navigation and
operation management using 3D
visualization and Augmented Reality
Operation management center
installed onshore for
worldwide monitoring and
control of subsea operations.
Software-based HD Digital
Video Overlay, Media Gallery,
Dive Log and Digital Video
Recorder
Real-world physics simulator for
complex operations that allow
users to perform virtual system
integration testing, mission
planning, operation rehearsal
and pilot training.
Engineering tool for the concept
and design phases of the project
lifecycle. It enhances 3D and GIS
and help engineers to design
operational procedures
Contextualized 3D visualization of the oilfield with accurate GIS
and bathymetry information that allows the user to perform run-
throughs and metrology on the entire virtual scenario.
Main Features
• GIS Enhancement
• Risk Assessment
• Design Procedures
• Virtual SIT
• Digital Collaboration
• Design Reviews
TRL 9:
Actual system proven through successful mission operations.
Role in context of UIDs:
Framework core for most of all functionalities. The ability to place data in
context of GIS 3D. Create and modify field data. Control vehicles and manage
operations.
Main Features
• Simulate complex operations
• Perform virtual SITs
• Plan and design procedures
• Train ROV pilots
• Train operational teams
TRL 9:
Actual system proven through successful mission operations.
Role in context of UIDs:
Allows for mission rehearsal and virtual system integration testing. Uses Field Digital Twin underlying field data to predict physical behavior.
Additionally allows for Machine Learning model training much more efficiently than traditional methods.
Uses real world physics to simulate theenvironment (each object has its owncharacteristics – size, weight, buoyancy, stiffness, etc.). Allows for mission planningwith accurate GIS data.
Uses Augmented Reality and 3D visualization to improve Navigation, Safety, Spatial Awareness
and Operation Management.
Real-time Operational tool
Main Features
• Improves navigation efficiency up to 40%
• 3D Overlay (AR)
• Object target recognition
• Extended Field of View
• Perfect tool for SIMOPS
• Multiple camera views
• Supervisor Live Field Editing

TRL 9:
Actual system proven through successful mission operations.
Role in context of UIDs:
Allows for offshore (rig or vessel) control of ROVs/UIDs. Acts as a relay command system from offshore to Abyssal Cloud to onshore Command Center.
Main Features
• Track and monitor operations from onshore
• Perform remote troubleshooting
• Digital collaboration tool – every operational team will have remote access to the same updated digital asset
TRL 9 (for monitoring):
Actual system proven through successful mission operations.
TRL 4 (for control):
Active R&D and validation in laboratory environment.
Role in context of UIDs:
Allows for the monitoring and visualization of live data in an onshore environment. Infrastructure for monitoring is a TRL9, and for control being in active development (TRL4). Ready for pilot in Q4 2019.
Uses cloud and satellite communicationtechnologies to provide onshore teams witha real-time 3D view of offshore operations.

The Abyssal Cloud is a web application and a managed cloud
platform with integrated data services. It allows you to manage,
visualize, and interact with your subsea digital twin throughout the
entire Life Cycle.
TRL 9:
Actual system proven through successful mission operations.
Role in context of UIDs:
Accessibility to system functionality everywhere via web browser.
Access to field data, enhanced stakeholder communication.

Thank you
In this document we’ve presented solutions to:
• Create a Field Digital Twin
• Correlate live data (from fixed or dynamic assets, vehicles, comms systems and environment)
• Effectively Simulate and Plan operations
• Communicate effectively between stakeholders
• Monitor live subsea activity in a 3D environment
• Control multiple ROV’s/UIDs and other assets across the world from any location
• Effectively and safely monitor and control a subsea field with digital tools
• Contextualize integrated data from client third party systems
• Use data across Pre-FEED, FEED, LoF to Decommissioning
• Use Machine learning to enhance the data that’s already available without adding any asset to the field
