Choosing Beacon and NFC Hardware
When purchasing, keep in mind:● Battery length● Housing (well designed, sturdy, size
etc.) ● NFC: How much memory is
available?● Beacons: What chip and antenna? Is
it easy to configure?
Choosing Proximity SoftwareWhen purchasing, ask:● Is it easy to integrate?● Is it flexible and
scalable?● Is it secure and stable?● Does it have a REST
API? What can you do with it?
● Is it beacon agnostic?
Beacon Troubleshooting1. There should be 3G or (preferably) WIFI internet
connection on.2. Bluetooth should be enabled.3. 'Sharing Connection' should be disabled.4. Location services should be enabled. You can check this
at Settings > Privacy > Location Services.5. Location services permission for the app should also be
enabled.6. Beacons should be emitting.7. The UUID in the dashboard should match the UUID of the
Beacon.*If you think it might be the beacon, download beacon
emitter and test using this app
Movintracks Dashboard Overview
1. Campaigns: configure the interactions that will happen on the user’s device.
2. Points: configure the interest points where the Beacons will be installed.
3. Reports: get information and monitor the campaigns.
4. Profile: configure the main settings.5. Wake up devices: send a signal to all
mobiles with the app installed to download new campaign content.
Setting Up a Campaign
1. Set up your beacons/NFC/Geofencing (see troubleshooting slide)
2. Create a zone and assign a point to a zone 3. Create a campaign4. Effectively use triggers and actions5. Analyze the data and improve for next time
