CONSULTATIONS

So far this year we have spoken about 4 main things that are important to us within our Forum Sessions and how we can change the things that we are not happy with. We may have even come to your youth club to talk to you about what you think too! We are now writing up what everyone has said about these things and putting it into a report. This will be available on our website in the near future, or you can ask for a copy from your Youth Club Leader. We spoke about......

Barriers to Participation We did a puppet show which told everyone what are your favourite places and what you like doing in your spare time. My character was based on a Chinese person. The show I did was funny because I tried speaking in Chinese. I really enjoyed doing this and I would do it again. Daniel Howell

Short Breaks We got split into 2 groups to look at different Short Breaks and decide which ones were good and ones that were not that good. This was a very good activity. I found some of the Short Break DVDs good and some Short Break DVDs not that good. Daniel Howell

Lifestyle Cards We did an Activity where you had to sort out Lifestyle Cards which included ‘to be rich’, ‘to be good looking’, and ‘to have good friends’. My top one was ‘to have good friends’. My least important one was ‘to be good looking’. This was a really fun activity! Daniel Howell

We did Lifestyle Cards. We had lots of cards to sort out. Some of the cards were ‘being rich’, ‘having friends’, ‘having a job’. We enjoyed doing this and we did it in groups. It was fun doing this! Adam Kaspar

Police Talked to the Policeman about what we think about Policemen. We stayed in the Kingsley Hall bit of Progress Project to talk to the Policeman. I liked it when other people talked and cared about the riots. Jack Taylor

We have just started planning our BIG campaign for 2013, which is all about NO SPITTING! Our slogan is ‘Don’t Spit It, Don’t Spread It, Don’t Catch It’ - look out for this soon!
