how to install the tracking code in shopify

Tracking codes allow you to:
01. See what users doon your website after they click your ads
02. Track conversions (actions that are important for your business)
03. Measure campaign performance and return on your advertising investment
04. create audience lists for retargeting campaigns
The tracking code needs to be added in two different places in Shopify.
All segments and conversions generally work well with theinstructions you find in Part 1.Part 2 features instructions for shopping cart, checkout and thank you page conversions. For those, you also need to install the tracking code on the checkout subdomain.
Part 1
01Go to your Shopify website editor
02Select "Themes" from the left hand side bar
03The themes page will load now
04Click the "more" button (the one with the 3 dots)
05 Select "edit HTML/CSS" from the dropdown
06The HTML editor will load now
07In the right side, look for 'Layouts'
08Select your template
09Look for the <head> tag
10 Paste the tracking code anywhere below that <head> tag
11 Hit save, and you have successfully installed the tracking code in Part 1
Part 2
01Go to your Shopify website editor
02Select "Settings" from the left hand side bar
03On the Settings page, select the "Checkout" button, also found in the left hand side bar
04On the "Checkout" page, scroll down to"Order processing"
05Once you see "Order processing" look for the "Additional content & scripts" field
06Paste your tracking code in this field
07Hit save, and you have successfully installed the tracking code in Part 2
