An exhibition of works by TSUKIOKA Yoshitoshi, titled “Yoshitoshi – Exceptional Ukiyoe Artist Who lived in a Turbulent Era,” will be held from August 5 to September 24 at Nerima Art Museum (Nerima City, Tokyo). Yoshitoshi is known for his “Chimidoro-e” (bloody pictures). A capsule hotel is a kind of accommodation that was created in Japan. Guests sleep in a room divided up into capsule-like spaces. Although you cannot lock your capsule with a key, coin lockers are available at most of these hotels. Though visitors can have a certain degree of privacy, they must share the washbasins, toilet, and bathroom with other peo-ple. Capsule hotels are perceived as providing accom-modation that is cheap but compact – with only just enough space to sleep in – but in recent years more luxurious versions have been developed.
