    Solutions Transformed the enterprise strategy for data management and deployed the highly adaptive, scalable Cognos Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Reporting engine. Integrated Cognos with existing enterprise platforms.

    Created a holistic approach to turn silo-based data into an agency-wide asset for actionable business intelligence. Worked with teams of analysts to mine data for strategic insights into performance improvement opportunities. Instituted stringent financial reporting and budget formulation models.

    Evaluated standard solution approaches available to client, weighing time, investment, and opportunity cost. Build out of new environment with on-premise system with an 18-month time line and a $206K up-front cost

    for infrastructure, licensing, certification and accreditation, as well as installation and configuration. Acquisition of a hosted or managed service solution with a 14-month minimum time line, hosting costs of

    $50K, and C&A costs considerably higher than that.

    Solutions Investigated alternatives and discovered that a sister agency had an existing QuestionMark installation.

    Results Deployed the solution within 6 months while avoiding having to navigate the C&A and AAR processes.

    Problem Client had a legacy Lotus Domino / Notes instance to be de-commissioned and replaced with MS SharePoint Server. All of the intranet sites and collaboration forums needed to be migrated to work with SharePoint.

    Solutions Completed an in-depth analysis of the business needs to understand the who, what, when, where, why, and how related to the use/non-use, processes, administration, and training requirements.

    Led SharePoint site development as well as custom XSLT and report development activities. Managed the production launch and cut-over to SharePoint 2007 and the subsequent upgrade to SharePoint 2010.

    Since the acquisition of Terremark in 2011, Verizon has called on Peter to direct all global operations for the portfolio of services in the Terremark brand name as the SVP of Global Operations and COO. Peter was selected because of his track record of repeatedly and successfully optimizing the enterprise IT infrastructure and IT services delivery models at Terremark.     Peter developed a strategy that led to the overhaul of legacy Verizon and Terremark data centers as well as the selection and build out of new global data center facilities for a network of 58 sites. He totally revamped the services delivery model, introducing best practices and process rigor that improved customer onboarding time and elevated the combined Verizon/Terremark Net Promoter Score. He also restructured the product team, unifying their efforts with sales engineering and other core disciplines to improve product development, product management, branding, and messaging for 5 core product families.

    Peter joined Terremark in the fall of 2008 as the SVP of Product Development to infuse a disciplined, focused strategic approach to product development, with an emphasis on the enterprise cloud computing sector. From 2010 until 2012, he served as the SVP of Peter Services, where he established and directed the companys first centralized customer service organization. In addition, he managed the high-profile cloud computing business with a combined 450 people representing $1.4B in annual revenue. Peter successfully repositioned the customer service function as a core competency for the organization instead of being simply an expense center. His initiatives here cut customer churn to less than 1% and earned the #1 rank in enterprise cloud solutions and the #2 rank in the entire cloud segment. Career Progression

    Prior to joining Terremark, Peter served Savvis Communications (formerly Cable & Wireless/Exodus Communications) for 8 years in total as the Director of Strategic Accounts, Site VP, and Senior Systems Engineer. He was able to upgrade the data center infrastructure to the 2N+1 redundancy required for the high-volume trading activity in the financial sector, enabling Savvis to retain accounts worth millions of dollars in monthly revenue. Peter also led the turnaround of the countrys worst-performing region, boosting sales and profitability by 150% and 300%, respectively, in just 1 year.

    Early in his career, Peter worked with TD Waterhouse as the Director of Electronic Brokerage Operations, where he oversaw the team that deployed and supported one of the largest retail financial services platforms in the U.S. He also worked for IBM as a Systems Architect and for MasterCard International as a Help Desk Analyst. Peter holds a BBA degree in MIS from Pace University and serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Miami Baptist Hospital NICU as well as at Florida International University.
