Background To The Above Inspirational Movie Dance Scene

The above inspirational video is from the movie Flash dance (which I recommend you watch). The dancer’sname in the clip is Alexandra Owens a young woman who works as a welder at a steel mill in Pittsburgh whodreams of one day becoming a professional dancer. The problem is she lacks the formal education, and so works asan exotic dancer by night as a substitute.

After seeking advice from her friend and mentor Hanna Long who is a retired ballerina. She then attempts to apply tothe Pittsburgh Conservatory of Dance. But she leaves without ever applying after becoming intimidated by theapplication process because of its requirement for applicants to list all previous dance experience and education.

Drifts Without Passion or Purpose

Her mentor then dies. And what follows is a period where Alexandra drifts without purpose and loses sight of evermaking her dreams come true. Until finally she finds the courage to apply for entrance to the Conservatory. Andupon doing so, with the help of her very supportive friend and lover, she is then granted an audition to try out. Thisaudition being beautifully captured in the above inspirational video.

It is a simple, beautiful and powerful story and movie about the Hero’s Journey.. From hope.. To despair.. Todeliverance.. And it is the story of every Hero and the journey we must all inevitably take if we wish to become whowe are meant to BE..

fruits and evidence of someone who knows God (whether a person realizes they know God or not, for God is"LOVE"). And I also believe in the Golden rule that Jesus taught in that we should treat others the way we wouldwant to be treated.

That said, to finish this little speel off.. I quite like Gandhi's reply when he was once asked if he was a Hindu? Hisreply simply being:

"Yes I am. I am also a Christian, a Muslim, a Buddhist and a Jew" - Gandhi ..

When we do not know ourselves and the healthy desires, dreams and potential within us,then we can tend to drift like reeds blown this way and that in the wind. Because we lackpassion, purpose and focus..

And this is when we can tend to fall for anything because we do not stand up foranything. And because of this, this is when we can tend to overindulge in unhealthypractices such as over-drinking, overeating, over-partying and the like.

Why?..

Because we are trying to fill the void and numb the pain within us. Rather thananswer the call of the wild, by quieting the turmoil within our souls long enough, thatwe might then hear and follow the still small inner voice of intuition(Inner-Tuition)beckoning us forward into passion and life.

How Life Comes Alive With Color

For when we are passionately pursuing our dreams, it is then that life will come alive with color!.. And it is then thatthe dull grey unhealthy practices will be replaced by the healthy life giving ones, as we shed our old skin to embraceour new life..

You see, when we play to our strengths and passions rather than playing to our weaknesses, it is as if all of heavencomes to our aid to help us succeed in the Game of Life. For when we do our best God will do the rest, in the sameway that fortune seems to favor the bold..

This is what the great Master Teacher Jesus meant when he said:

“Seek God’s Kingdom first and all things will be added to you”

How To Seek Gods Kingdom

For seeking God’s kingdom first isn’t going to a building with a cross and steeple each Sunday. Nor is it belonging toan institutional religious organization with XYZ above the door (although at times it may include these things). For Ibelieve seeking God’s Kingdom first, is first and foremost being true to yourself, by honoring and giving expressionto the passion, gifts and dreams placed within you by the Creator..

Thus when this truth is understood and practiced, then the following powerful, words of Shakespeare will find theirhome and resting place in us:

“To thine own self be true” – Shakespeare

For when we are being true to our self, this is when we will be most happy. For this is what it means to “Follow YourBliss”..

You see Universal Intelligence has a vested interest in its own. For if you are a farmer who plants orange seeds, you

will make sure you regularly water them, fertilize them and protect them from those pests and enemies who wouldseek to devour them.

Why?..

Because the Farmer wants each individual orange seed to grow into a fruitful orange tree that bears an abundantharvest of oranges and other orange trees in due season. For it is the farmers goal to help each individual orangeseed reach its full potential..

Why?.. So that the orange itself would firstly know the joy of just living and being an orange. And secondly so thatmany people would taste and enjoy the oranges nourishing fruit and nectar.

And remember this orange analogy isn’t about the orange rather it is about YOU..

For you too just like the orange have a seed of great potential within you full of the CREATIVE FORCES of theUniverse.. You just have to allow this power to move through you and touch everything you put your hand to! Forwhen you do this, this is when abundance, flow, joy and success becomes your natural state of BE-ing..

And likewise, the GREAT FARMER, ARCHITECT and CREATOR’S LIFE FORCE is always seeking FULLEREXPANSION and EXPRESSION through its CREATION..

Partnering With The Divine

But for success to happen in our lives, we must TAKE OUR PASSION and MAKE IT HAPPEN!.. YES we must playour part in this process of partnering with the Divine and Creator within us, for we must do OUR BEST so that aGod might do THE REST..

For the CREATOR’S LIFE FORCE seeks to Create and build through us, so that this “Creative Energy and LifeForce” WILL permeate IN and THROUGH US and spread into every sector of society bringing:

..LIGHT where there is darkness..

..LOVE where there is hate..

..TRUTH where there IS lies..

..FREEDOM where there is slavery..

..HAPPINESS where there is unhappiness..

..PROSPERITY where there is poverty..

..and FORGIVENESS where there is guilt.

And as we partner with this CREATIVE LIFE FORCE , according to our God given passions, strengths and gifts,the end result will be that we build and create beautiful and powerful things and lives.

..Yes BEAUTIFUL and POWERFUL THINGS in every sector of society according to our passions, strengths andgifts.

And when more and more people live in such a way, then more and more people become vessels fit for honor.Like cups that are full to the brim and overflowing with passion, purpose and love. Cups who then simply and verynaturally share with others the love, life and creativity they have received. And in doing so we both individually andcollectively bring Heaven to Earth in every facet of society by driving out darkness with light..

This is how we make a difference and this is how we change the world for the better..

Grow & Live Or Shrivel And Die?

And this is why when we are “Following Our Bliss” “Doing What We Love” and “Passionately Pursuing Our Dreams”,we will then continually be growing personally and professionally (vocationally), as we naturally and organicallypush through our comfort zones, enlarge our borders and grow our sphere of influence based on service to othersthat enriches their lives in some greater measure..

The opposite also being true in that when we are no longer growing in our personal and professional development,we will then waste away, shrivel and die. And it is then that we will sadly become but a tiny shadow of who we couldhave been. This happens, in the same way a branch dies when you cut and tear it away from the tree and roots fromwhich it draws its life force from.

This is what the great Master Teacher Jesus was referring to when he said:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can donothing” – (John 15:4)

This is why one must be who they really are at their core so they can then abide in the “Tree of Life” and bear muchfruit in this life (aka.. reach your FULL Potential, Live Life to the Full and Enrich the lives of others through productiveservice)..

In this way, all the things that we need to succeed can be added to us. And this is also when “all things becomepossible for them who believe”..

Be who you really are at your core

Again, this is why it is so important to be who you really are at your core. For if you are an orange seed you will notsucceed if you try to be an apple, no matter how positive you try to be in your goal to be an apple..

For to succeed in life, you must first know who you are and what your God given design, blueprint and mission is,which can be seen in seed form in those things which you are most passionate about. For all Success is built bypassion..

This is why it is so important to awaken and begin to boldly and passionately pursue your God given dreams. Forboldness contains both “Genius” and the “Spark” and “Power” of the Creator.. And when you do this, all of heavenwill seem to aid you as you boldly put faith into action, step out of the boat and walk on water in your Mission to“Create” the life you want for you and those you love..
