Uncertainty is not a roadblock. It is simply part of the journey. Those who enjoy the process are scientifically proven to be
happier. Instead of over analyzing problems, allow them to solve themselves.

“Some problems solve themselves over time. I could spend 24 hours immediately trying to
solve it or I could focus on something else, and it will go away on it’s own. There’s some sense of process tolerance you only get over time.”

The most telling way to measure your progress as a leader and as an organization is to debrief.

“Learning organizations sustain and thrive over time. If you aren’t investing in your team’s
learning at least 20 percent of the time you aren’t going to survive. You may create
a great product but you’re not going to have the organization to support it.”

Smart leaders don’t aspire for consensus. Instead, they request and work through each
of their team members’ objections.

Self awareness = Gold. The most telling way to reveal your blind spots is to ask for feedback internally. Try asking your team members: “If you were me, what is one thing you would
be doing differently right now?”

Always chart your own path. “Playing someone else’s playbook will never result in anything
better than the one who used it first.”

“Initiative > Experience.” To test for it, ask an individual how they capitalize on their passions? Whether it’s a love for cooking or coding, initiators thrive by contributing
or becoming leaders in the field.
