Choose Your Blog Site

There are a variety of sites that hosts blogsBlogger (is free and what I use)

Wordpress (also free)

You can purchase your own domain name

Find others by doing a google search

Make It Your Own

Since I use blogger, I will be using that as a reference. You can use the free layouts at the site (I don't like these because they are boring and so many people use them that they aren't special)

Get free layouts from Pyzam or other sites

How To Add Layout

If you got your layout from Pyzam or somewhere else, copy the html codeOn blogger, go to Design and erase the html code that is there.

Paste the new code

Save it

Posting

You need to know what your blog is about before posting. Unless your blog is about nothing like the Seinfeld show.From Dashboard go to New Posts

Write what you want to write

Save

Check the post to make sure it's okay

Add Pages

On the same page where you add posts, click on Edit Pages. Then click on Add Page. You can add an About Me page or sample chapters like I did.Check my blog here:http://kasi-kcblake.blogspot.com

Grab My Button

Have you seen these cute little buttons on other blogs? Check my blog. I have a cute little cat on mine. You can copy the code beneath the button, go to your Add a Gadget on your design page, and copy the code into the html gadget box. Then you'll have one too.

Make Your Own Button

To make a button for yourself, you need to use Gimp or Photoshop or something like it. The button should be 125 x 125. What do you use for a picture? I used my cat, but you can buy a cheap photo stock picture online. You will need to save it on Photobucket or somewhere like it.
