How to Create the Ideal Information Pamphlet…

…using Publisher and a ‘real’ bibliography!

How to get started on making your own…

• Open up ‘Microsoft Publisher’

• Select ‘Publications for Print’ from the left hand side

• Select ‘Brochure’

• Select one of the ‘Information Brochures’

• And away you go! Once you’re in, it’s the same as using Word, just with panels!

First Panels…

Front page (Title Page)

This is the last page on the back when it is fully open, but the first panel you see when you open the front page.This is where you write about the ‘Legacy of Emperor Qin’.

This is the back page when the pamphlet is closed. Write your bibliography here.

Second PanelsThese 3 panels are as you see them now when you open up the pamphlet fully.

These 3 panels need to give details of the three areas you selected from the 5 possibilities on your assignment ‘Task’ page.

Notice no. 2 is now highlighted!

Each panel should have a picture with a caption underneath it. These could be replaced with quotes.

• Firstly, all the following information can be found in ‘A Guide to Referencing and Bibliographies’ by Jennifer King. It looks like this:

• And secondly, remember that you need to note down the names of the sources as you use them – not once you’ve finished your assignment! You’ll have to check back over everything and it’ll waste a lot of time!
