How to create an Ethereum wallet address

If you would like to generate an Ethereum wallet address, provide it under your ODEM profile, and have your certificate on the blockchain, please follow the steps.

Note: to store a large amount of ODEM tokens, please purchase a hardware wallet.

Visit https://www.myetherwallet.com/

Click on “Create A New Wallet.”

3 When you see the pop up window, take a moment to read through the short introduction and click on “Continue” to see all the information on what you need to know when you create a wallet.

Click on “Get started” when you see this.

If you choose MEWconnect, click on “Scan to Download” and then use your smartphone to scan the QR code depending on what OS you have on your phone.

Choose one of the methods to create a wallet.

Once it’s downloaded on your phone, open the MEWConnect app and click on “CREATE NEW WALLET” and follow the prompts.

Pick a password to encrypt your private key (your wallet) and click on the arrow on the top right hand corner.

Re-type your password and click on the arrow on the top right hand corner.

Click on “START USING MEWCONNECT.”

e You have successfully created an Ethereum wallet address. To see the full address, touch the QR code. You can now copy and paste this address to your ODEM profile.

IMPORTANT STEP: click on BACK UP on your wallet.

You will be shown 24 words on the screen. This is your recovery phrase. WRITE IT DOWN IN ORDER (with the number 1, 2, 3, 4,...). DO NOT LOSE IT. This is the only way you can recover your wallet and all the funds in it if you lose your smartphone or forget the password.
