How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

Page 2: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

Why is it important?✦ You could have a great title, intriguing questions

and fun results but…✦ If you don’t have your brands look to the quiz, it

will look out of place on your platform.✦ You don’t want to break the flow of your website

and pull away from the brand you’ve worked so hard to perfect.

✦ We’ll go into how to customize a quiz so that it blends perfectly with it’s platform.

Page 3: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

______’s Brand✦ We’ll use a made up brand (“General”) and color

scheme for our example.

Page 4: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

“General”✦ We have a more modern, simplistic looking logo with a green focused

color scheme.✦ First, I’ll go into how we can use different colors that will blend well

with our brand’s color scheme.✦ We want to do this in order to make the quiz flow smoothly and

make sense to the quiz taker.✦ These will be the basics on how to make your quiz match your

brand and look good on your own site.✦ Then, I’ll go into how we can best blend the quiz in with the

surrounding of where it’s placed.✦ That way we don’t interrupt the flow of the user’s experience.

Start with a Blank Template✦ This is where the quiz is born and raised to be

successful.

What to Address First:✦ We want to address these first:

✦ Center Image✦ Logo✦ Background Color✦ Font Color and Type✦ Call To Action Button Color

Page 7: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

First:✦ Let’s put a center image in. I have a great picture of Baymax from

the movie Big Hero 6. ✦ For this quiz, (and this is not necessary; I just like the idea for this

quiz) I am going to have a white background and I don’t want there to be any borders.

✦ So, I found a picture that has a white background as well.

Second:✦ Let’s get our logo in there now. This also is going

to have a white background so that it fits in well.

Page 9: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

Third:✦ We’ll adjust the background color. ✦ For this, I’m going to be putting this into an

article, so I want the color to be white.✦ I’ll let you in on one of my big secrets…

✦ I almost always use a white background. In special circumstances I’ll change it, but that’s pretty rare.

Fourth:✦ Now we’ll change the color and (if needed) the font

of the text of the quiz.✦ For our font color, we have a dark grey that we’re

working with in our color palette, so let’s go ahead and change it to that. That color for us is #525252, so I’ll just click on ‘Font Color’ and type in that number, or if I didn’t have one in mind I would just use the color picker to find one.

Fourth Cont:✦ Next, change the font to match the other text on

your platform. For me, I don’t need to change it. But, if you do, here’s how.

Page 12: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

Fifth:✦ Now, we’ll adjust the color of our call to action button.✦ Let’s change this to our center green in our brand, which is

#5ABF96. This really ties everything together with the logo in the bottom right corner, and is one of the most important parts in getting our quiz to sync up with our brand.

Sixth:✦ As for our last option of changing the text that sits inside the call to

action button, it’s really up to the creator for what that says. ✦ I’ll go back and forth on different options depending on the quiz

and the audience. On this one, I went ahead and changed it to ‘Let’s Find Out!’ to further push forward the initial question that’s asked at the title of the quiz.

Page 14: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

Seventh:✦ I changed the background of this slide so you can better understand why I

left the background color on the quiz white. ✦ You’ll see below that my quiz doesn’t have any borders and it flows well with

the page.✦ People don’t like choppy pages.✦ A good goal to strive for is making the quiz a complementary action for the

reader, something they would do along with reading the article.

Page 15: How to Create a White Labeled Quiz

Tips:✦ Quizzes that are placed within articles tend to have higher

completion rates and more views than quizzes that are just linked and standalone. This is because the user is directly invited to engage with the quiz, rather than clicking on a link that takes them to a dedicated quiz page.

✦ Looking at the numbers we have, we’ve determined that on an average quiz embedded in posts, it takes users just under 3 minutes to take a quiz. We have a 60% completion rate from quizzes viewed, so from this you could determine that by adding a quiz to your page, for 60% of the readers, you’ve just added an extra 3 minutes to the time they spend on your site and on your article.

Now You’re Set!✦ It doesn’t take too much editing to have a quiz match our brand well,

and it’s easy to implement it into an article to increase viewership and lead collection if you want to.

✦ What I’ve really learned from working on this product for a while and researching the creation and design of these quizzes is that well designed ones are hard to come by.

✦ We strive to allow you to build the quiz you really want, whether it includes better design, content, or fits in your site on any platform.
