How to Create a FIRMette

A FIRMette is an official copy of a portion of the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM)

panel.

FIRMettes are created online by visiting FEMA’s Map Service Center at:

msc.fema.gov

FIRMette Instructions:

1. Go to the FEMA Map Service Center website: https://msc.fema.gov/portal/home

2. Click Search All Products

3. Select Jurisdiction by: a. State. b. County. c. Community: Next -

Click the Search button

5. Click on Effective Products 6. Click on FIRM Panels

7. Select FIRM Panel Number under VIEW

8. Select the Create A FIRMette button

9. Select Page Size

10. Select Print Area: Click and drag green print area to your area of interest on the FIRM

11. Drop the “green box” in the desired area

12. Adjust Scale and North Arrow and Title Block if necessary:

13. Preview FIRMette and Download to a PDF
