TheKingstonStorageManager(KSM)isaWindows-basedgraphicaluserinterfacedesignedtomakeconfiguringOPontheDC400quickandeasy.TheDC400lineofSSD’sismanufacturedwithastandardOPconfigurationofapproximately7%fromthefactory.Forexamplea960GBDC400actuallyhas1024GBofFlashMemoryonthePCBbutafterKingstonconfiguresthe7%OPatmanufacturingtimetheuserhas960GBofusablecapacityavailabletothem.
WithKSM,theusercansetanyamountofOPtheydesireabovethefactorysetOPconfigurationwhichwillincreasetheOPspaceavailabletothecontrollerabovethestandard7%OP.Ifatalatertimetherequiredexpectationofthedriveschangeandmoreuseablecapacityisneeded,theusercansimplyadjusttheOPformoreusablecapacityorsetthedrivebacktothefactoryOPconfiguration.Note:AnychangeintheOPconfigurationwillresultindataloss.
