HOW TO COMPUTE COLORS IN CARPET DESIGN IN PAINT PROGRAM
Carpet design have many different colors. For simple carpet design as an example.... size 4 meters x 6 meters with 7 different color on its simple design. What we need to know is how much the quantity of colors on each design. This problem alway go out when the order of carpet come to us. We need to know the total area of each color on the design so we will know how much quantity of color yarn we need to order for the production of this carpet.Using the new version of PAINT program, you can compute the area of each color on the carpet. OPEN PAINT
iN THE PAINT WINDOW...you can see a white grille rectangle which you can adjust the size on the size in length and width
for example your size is 4 x 6....adjust the grille to 4 mts and 6 mts. PRESS COLLER ..... COLLER A PARTIR DE ....THEN CHOOSE YOUR DESIGN ON YOUR DOCUMENT AND PRESS OUVRIR ( SORRY MY WINDOW IS IN FRENCH) or open.your image will go out on the paint window
IF YOUR IMAGE DONT FIT THE 4 X 6 GRAPH ...SELECT IT AND ADJUST TO FIT IT TO THE 4 X 6 GRAPH.....PRESS SELECTIONER AND SELECT ONLY YOUR IMAGE NOT THE GRAPH THEN ADJUST IT
WHEN YOUR IMAGE IS ALREADY FIT TO THE SIZE ON YOUR GRAHP WHICH IS THE EXACT SIZE OF YOUR CARPET DESIGN....OPEN POST DE TRAVAIL...OUTIL CAPTURE... AND CAPTURE ONLY THE IMAGE IN THE PAINT WITH GRAPH WHICH IS THE SIZE OF 4 X 6 MTS.
SAVE IT.. AND PRINT....THE IMAGE IS NOW READY FOR THE COMPUTATION OF COLOR. 40 SQUARES IN 4 METERS AND 60 SQUARE IN 6 METERS. ONE SQUARE IS .10 X .10 CM .....COUNT ONE BY ONE EACH COLOR BY SQUARE.EXAMPLE FOR WHITE TOTAL IS 554 SQUARES .10 X .10 = .01 x 554 = 5.54 sq.mts for whitecontinue counting each square for one color until you know all the total area of each color.make total of all the area of each color and check it to the area of 4 x 6 which is 24 sq.mts.your total area will be bigger in than the original area because when you are counting colors some color are not in all square , some are half just use you your imagination and count them like square half + HALF OR SMALL COLOR + TOGETHER TO COMPLETE A SQUARE TO COUNT AS ONE.
