Introduction
In almost every aspect of our lives we are consciously and unconsciously trying to clear
something…to let go of something.
Letting go of one thing to allow something new…
Imagine a glass filled with dirty, grey water that you can only see through vaguely. That is the
state of many of our lives.
Sometimes it works that we completely dump the water out and have an instantaneous shift in
the quality of our lives.
But not often…
And if it does happen that way, it might not be in a way you like…for example, it could come
about as a result of an accident or sickness. Just getting news of such a thing can make us see
what is valuable that we weren’t focused on before.
It can make us drop our story really fast!
Another way is the slow drip, drip, drip of higher consciousness displacing old ideas and
strategies that we no longer need.
Maybe they were useful once, such as in our family of origin; but out in the world today they
cripple us, rendering us impotent.
So we have to clear them!

And that’s what I’ve designed this e-book for…to give you some fun tools and ways of
expanding your ability to clear the clutter from your mind.
(And believe me…we all have clutter that we’ve been collecting a long, long time.)
Ok, let’s get busy…
I’ve divided it up into four categories of clearing:
• Physical
• Everyday
• Viral
• Preventative
Each one is designed to give you a different perspective, or vantage point, to view the kinds of mind clutter we hold onto…and offers ideas to clear it using familiar associations.
By linking them together, we find new and creative possibilities that make it easy for our mind to let go.
This reminds me of the Nike slogan: Just Do It. They made something that people make complicated very simple.
That’s the kind of thing we’re up to here…
I like to think of it as: Just drop it!

Physical Clearing
No one seems to have a problem clearing physical things in their life…like taking a shovel to
clear a path of snow out of the way, for example.
The things most people have trouble clearing is the negative mental aspects of their lives such as
clearing limiting beliefs to reach a goal…or clearing low self-esteem to ask someone you like out
for a date.
This section offers lots of examples of physical clutter that we generally clear rather easily on a
regular basis, and employs these already familiar methods in other internally creative ways.
The idea here is to simply picture your mental clutter as physical clutter and then imagine a
physical clearing tool removing it!
The key is to visualize it happening through the power of your imagination…
This is exactly what you’ll be doing in the following creative exercise.
Here’s the task:
1. Think of a goal.
2. Ask yourself what’s in the way of reaching that goal (an obstacle, problem, long-
standing issue, relationship).
3. Pick 0 items you use, or do, in your own life.
4. Clear the obstacle using each of the items.
5. See yourself achieving your goal.

Example:
You could imagine the snow as low self-esteem and a shovel scooping it away. At the
end of your snow path, you allow yourself to ask the person of your dreams out on a date.
How easy is that?
So, take a look at all the physical means we have available to us to clear something we either
want or don’t want…and get started!
Vehicle windshield wipers to clear rain or snow from our windshield
Filing cabinets to clear our paper work from our desk and keep it organized
Bulldozers to clear land for buildings, homes and roads
Special chemicals to clear our yard of weeds
Snow shovels and blowers to clear snow off our drive way and side walk
Wash cloth, water and soap to clear dirt from our bodies
Virus protection to clear our computer of viruses, spyware and adware
Paper towels and glass cleaner to clear our house windows of dirt and smudges
Sweeper or broom to clear dirt from our carpets or floors
Doctors and medicine to clear our bodies of sickness, disease and illnesses
Hands to clear the table before and after we eat our meals
Sponge and soap to clear the sink of dirty dishes
Tooth brush to clear our teeth of plaque, tarter and food particles
Scissors, razors, wax or trimmers to clear our unwanted body hair
Exercise to clear our body from extra fat and pounds
Sleep to clear our mind and body of tiredness
Less clothes, air conditioning, fans or cool water clear our body of too much heat

Everyday Clearing
You can also clear your mind clutter by linking and imagining the benefits of the goal you want
to acquire to everyday locations, situations or steps you take to reach your goal.
For example, you could link taking a shower before work to the idea of raining money.
Another example is you could link jogging on a windy day as the wind blowing the weight off
your body.
What a great way to imaginatively clear away the negative emotions that sometimes arise when
we have to work or do things we don't like, or when we have limiting beliefs about how to reach
our goals!
To make this simple, I have used the word money.
(Nothing like money to get your heart racing…and your emotions out of whack.)
Let’s face it…humans are crazy about money!
On the other hand, you can replace the word money with any word related to your goal, for
example:
Love
Health
Relaxation
Success
Beauty
Productivity

Obviously, some words will fit better with certain ideas (for example, if you use the word
“friends,” you might not choose to imagine a shower of them…though it does kind of make you
laugh…: -)
Other than that guideline, you’re free to roam…
In this exercise, pick a word of something you’d like to have in your life or more of. Then, go
through the list of activities and find at least 5 you resonate with. Write them out in the space
I’ve provided following the list. Review them at least once or twice a day for the next 7 days,
using all your sensory input.
Imagine:
Taking a shower of money
Exercising to music that releases notes of money
Printing out pages of money
Weight lifting stacks of money
Jogging on a track of money
Wearing a suit made of money
Cooking up some money meals
Eating some healthy money food
Cleaning with a towel made of money
Driving to a money palace
Walking in a forest of money trees

Viral Clearing
Another way to get clear is by setting more specific goals and creating multiple meanings that
end up growing like a virus on different levels.
At the same time…
Being specific about details helps to clear out limiting beliefs.
How?
Because the more detailed your goals and the definitions they have, the more reasons you will be
motivated to accomplish them!
In order to make changes and accomplish goals you will need a “why” big enough to supply
motivation…
In this section, I’ll show you a way to create an ever growing “virus” that spreads like a viral
worm…clearing out all your limiting beliefs.
In this case, it’s a good worm!
In the following list, I’ve provided concepts that will help you define your goal with more
specific details.
For this exercise, just follow the plan below:
• First, list your broad goal.
o For example: I want to make more money.

• Then make it more specific:
o I want to make $10,000 to buy a new car.
o I want a metallic blue sports car.
• Finally, list all the meanings and benefits of owning that new car.
o I want a car I feel proud of.
Your job is to see how many of them you can apply and how richly detailed you can dream it up!
Choose a goal, and then find at least 10 specific areas below to further define its specific nature,
including any meaning and benefits reaching your goal offers. Write them in the space provided.

Color - What is the color effect of your goal?
o Examples: Red Sports Car, Tan Body, Blue Suit
Shade - What is the shade effect of your goal?
o Examples: Light, Dark, Shiny, Bright, Dull
Material - What is the material/texture effect of your goal?

Preventive Clearing
And finally…instead of making a goal that you either achieve or fail, why not add more “tries"
to all your goals.
Here’s what I mean…
Often people give up on a goal when they fail, but what if when you set it up, you stated it this
way, “I will lose xx pounds within xx “tries."
Meaning that, if you don't reach the goal the first time, you still have more 'tries' without
automatically failing.
Think about it…people who are successful with any goal will try and fail several times before
they achieve it…
So why get discouraged if you fail and simply give up because you made a goal without room to
try, try and try again?
This allows you to keep trying because you haven't officially failed at your goal!
Your self-talk will be entirely different, wouldn’t it?
More positive and supportive, maybe?
Instead of getting down on yourself, you would probably be more inclined to say, “Oh, well, I’ll
just keep going and get better at it.”

Imagine someone who wants to quit smoking. Most people fail many times because tobacco is
so addictive. Yet, trying to quit over and over again could be the difference between living and
dying.
That’s a lot to lose...so set your mind up to win from the beginning…
Giving yourself extra 'tries' can clear your limiting beliefs when you completely fail at something
you committed to.
Below is a list of common goals people might want to give themselves extra 'tries' for and the
reasons why people sometimes fail at them.
Read it over and ask yourself the following questions:
• Are any of them your goal or related to a goal you have?
• If not, does your goal have certain elements to consider that are similar?
• Given some of the considerations involved, how could you set yourself up to win?
• Is there a specific number of “trys” you feel would give you an advantage in
pursuing the goal?
Get A Raise/Promotion - It's up to the boss and their personal review of your
performance. Sometimes it is based on the business' profits and policies at the time.
Start a Business - It can depend on if there is a strong demand for your particular
business or niche; or how much debt you might have to create for your start up.
Get A Good Job - It hinges on if a business is hiring and if you have the skills,
education, and experience to handle the job.

Increase Business Sales - It's based on how much competition you have and possibly the
types of marketing and copywriting strategies you use.
Attract Someone - It depends on another person's likes and dislikes and the type of
situation they are currently in their life.
Get Good Grades - How much time you have to dedicate to studying, memory
improvement or listening in your class. Also, it's up to you to ask if you need extra help
to understand the subject.
Be Famous - It hinges on what type of profession you are in, although even in a small
niche, you can be famous. If not famous, could you be authoritative, respected or
credible?
Learn a Skill - It's based on what skill/or talent you select to learn, if who's teaching it is
doing it properly, where you get your training and how fast you learn.
Be Social - It's up to if you are interesting to the other people you want to socialize with,
whether you are trying to make friends, business connections, or networking.
Lose Weight - It depends on the type of diet you are on, how your body reacts to it, if
you follow it to a tee and the reason you want to lose weight.
Exercise More - It hinges on if you make or have the time to exercise, if you enjoy the
types of exercise that help you lose weight or build muscle, and if you have the proper
equipment.
Eat Better - It can be based on if people around you or in your family are eating better;
also, the types of groceries that are in the house and if you like the foods you’re eating.

Look/Feel Younger - It's up to the types of anti-aging products and strategies you are
using, how your body reacts to them and the type of make-up techniques you are using.
Stop Addictions/Obsessions/Bad Habits - It depends if you have hit rock bottom and
are ready to quit, the types of support systems you have, and the professional services
you use.
Solve a Problem - It hinges on the type of problem, who is involved in the problem, the
types of solutions and decisions available, and the risk and repercussion you'll face.
Relive Pain - It's based on the types of medical treatments and pain relievers prescribed
by a doctor or what alternative medical treatments you try.
Remove Fears/Phobia - It's up to if your reason for overcoming the fear is strong
enough to cope with it and the kind of professional or self-help method you select to
conquer it.
Save Money/Eliminate Debt - It depends if you and others in your family can live on the
financial plan and budget you set in order to save the money and/or pay off debts. Or the
extra amount of work or sacrifice you have to do to make extra money.
Be Safe/Secure - It hinges on the types of safety/secure equipment you purchase for your
home or business and if the people around you use safety precautions that could affect
you directly or indirectly.
More Freedom – It’s based on the kind of schedule you set, the types of work errands
and responsibility you outsource to others, your type of work or business, and how
organized and productive you are.
Buy Expensive Items - It's up to the sacrifices or financial plans you make to attract the
extra money you need to afford things like a new home, vehicle, or vacation.

Retire Early - It depends on what types of investments you select, the risks of the
investments, and how much expendable income you can contribute to them.
Go to College - It hinges on what college you want to go to, if your family can help you,
if you will work extra jobs to afford it, and if you can get grants or scholarships.
Be Entertained – It’s based on if you have the time and/or money to be entertained with
events like parties, theatres, concerts, museums and traveling; or electronics like TVs,
DVDs, computer, hobbies, cell phones.
Good Relationship - It's up to your communication skills, commitment, romantic style,
dating habits, marriage, and sex life.
Finding Love - It depends on meeting the right person; how you go about meeting them,
such as personal dating sites, through a friend, or at an event; if there’s an attraction; and
the success of your dates.
Avoiding Trouble - It hinges on the company you keep, the situations you’re put in, the
legal laws and job or business policies you have to follow.
Be Healthy - It's based on the types of medical care and advice you get, hereditary, your
eating and exercising, taking proper medicine, cures of disease, new medical technology
and discovery, and how much sleep you get.
Having Positive Emotions/Attitude - It's up to all the aspects combined of your entire
life, such as health, relationships, finances, and career.
Heal Mental Pain - It depends on the type of self-help, professional advice and services
you use; as well as the type of incident or trauma that occurred.

More Energy - It hinges on your eating habits, exercise, overall health, motivation
levels, energy products, emotional levels, and amount of sleep.

Wow! As you can see, there is a myriad of possibilities for clearing mind clutter…
Do they work?
Well, I can tell you from my own experience that daily practice with visualization and your
imagination leverages everything…
Why make it harder than it needs to be?
In effect, you can consciously give a day dream for your mind… a new set of instructions. This
