How to Celebrate Christmas Created by Mrs. Melissa Juren Step 1 Decorate First, you need to buy colored lights to decorate the outside of your house. Second, you may also buy some signs, wreathes, or inflatable decorations to place in your yard. Third, you absolutely must have decorations inside your house like nutcrackers, snowmen, poinsettias, and even a nativity scene. Step 2 Christmas Tree No Christmas is complete without a Christmas tree! You can buy a real pine tree or a fake tree that can be used year after year. Once you have the tree, you must decorate it as well. Add lights, ornaments, maybe some icicles, and a star at the top! Step 3 Presents Good little boys and girls sometimes get Christmas presents. They wait until Christmas morning before opening all their presents at once. Some people get clothes for Christmas, some get games and toys, and some people even get money. Dont forget to buy or make presents for your other family members too! Step 4 Family & Food One of the best parts of Christmas is getting to visit family! Sometimes, you get to travel to spend Christmas with relatives who live in other cities. Sometimes, your relatives might travel to spend Christmas with you. On Christmas Day, families usually eat a big lunch after opening all their presents. Lots of family like to eat ham or turkey, but my family started a tradition of eating big, juicy steaks! Step 5 Celebrate Jesus Birth The real reason for the season is the birth of Jesus Christ. Christians have celebrated Jesus birth on December 25 for centuries. The famous story of baby Jesus born in a manger in the stable of an inn in Bethlehem has been told and retold to help everyone remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
