How to calculate the CM (Cost of Making) of a Garment

Calculation of cm is a important part of merchandising prole. At costing meeting

stage, supplier only gets one sample of the garment and specication of fabric and

    trims for the reference.

So its really important to calculate the correct cost of making to get the correctcosting.

This post will help you all to calculate the COST OF A!"#$.

To nd out the C of a garment, you must know below%

    Calculating Embroidery Thread Consumption

Calculating thread consumption is a important part of cost calculation and garment

manufacturing. "n our earlier post we ha*e written about garment sewing thread

calculation. Second impartment area is embroidery thread calculation which we will

re*iew here. +mbroidery thread calculation depends of some parameters like stitch

type, thread type, no of colors, no of stitches in design.

$enerally +mbroidery machines work with stitch type @2?, the lockstitch. 4ith the

optimal adBustments of all the parameters it should amount to a shared proportionof 09@ needle thread and ?9@ bobbin thread. On a*erage the thread usage can be

    calculated as seen below
