Your countertops are custom-built. Read What to Expect on page 17 to understand what to expect during the installation process. Your authorized Service Provider will call you to schedule your installation.

After your order is placed, an authorized Service Provider will visit your home and verify your measurements. Your estimate will be adjusted based on these actual measurements.

Choose the right countertop to complement your kitchen. Select your countertop but don’t forget to consider the edge, backsplash, cooktop, faucet, disposal and sink. These selections need to be known at the time of ordering. Once your countertop and options are chosen, your designer will place your order.

Use the Project Worksheet on page 18 or visit homedepot.com/countertopestimatefor information on how to sketch your kitchen layout and measure your countertops. You should have these initial measurements to discuss countertop options with your Home Depot design specialist. They will be used to create an initial order and do not have to be perfect.

What to expectthe information provided below is to be used as a reference for what to expect during the installation process. a home Depot design specialist will review this information as you make your countertop purchase.

GettinG Started:• a home Depot design specialist will discuss the countertop surfaces, edges, backsplashes and additional options available to you.

• You will need to provide basic measurements and a diagram to your Home Depot design specialist if possible. (For your convenience, a project Worksheet has been provided for you on the next page. please refer to this worksheet for basic instructions on measuring your countertop.)

• A Home Depot design specialist will create an initial quote which is an estimate of the projected price for your countertop project. The final price of your countertop project will be determined after the in-home template has been completed.

• Payment is necessary before next steps can begin. Within two business days after project payment, an authorized Service provider will contact you to schedule your in-home template appointment.

in-home template appointment:• All items to be installed/mounted on or adjacent to the countertop must be present at the job site for the day of the template. This

includes sinks, faucets, appliances, cooktops, soap dispensers, etc.

• All appliances (including installed dishwashers) must be in place.

• Stone (e.g. Granite, Quartz) & Laminate countertops have visible seams. Acrylic countertops have inconspicuous seams. Seam placement should be discussed during in-home template. To ensure structural integrity, final seam placement is at the discretion of the fabricator. Material from sink and cooktop cut-outs are not part of the finished product due to possible breakage and will not be made available.

• An authorized Service Provider will visit your home to: • Create a template (footprint) of your countertop to ensure that the new countertop will fit properly. • Review your project order details and determine any special installation requirements. • Explain any variances in measurements from your initial store estimate. • Ask you to sign documents approving the countertop order, including seams and cutouts.

• All cabinetry and end panels must be completely and permanently installed (set and level). Before your template, new or existing cabinets must be structurally sound as well as plumb, level & secured to the wall and/ or floor. At least 70% of the top must be supported by cabinets or other solid structure.

• You or your designated decision maker (over age 18) must be present at all appointments and sign all required documents.

• Do NOT perform any demolition until the Service Provider has notified you that the countertops are ready for a scheduled install.

ChanGe order:• After the in-home template is complete and approved, a Home Depot design specialist will contact you to review any changes

in the estimate and to explain your options for paying the balance due or receiving the refund owed.

FabriCation:• During fabrication, your new countertops will be custom-built based on the specifications created during the template appointment.

inStallation:• Once your countertop has been fabricated, the Service Provider will contact you to schedule your installation appointment. The installation

process takes an average of 1-3 days to complete, including any plumbing disconnect/reconnect that may be required.

• Your existing countertops must be removed/hauled away. Plumbing, gas and/or electrical connections must be disconnected prior to your countertop installation and reconnected after the installation. (Discuss with your Home Depot design specialist for further details.)

• An authorized Service Provider will visit your home and install your new countertop.

• Provide access, power, and if applicable, climate control at the installation.

• If your installation includes a full-height backsplash, the backsplash is often measured after the countertop installation and installed approximately one week later.

• Please allow a 3-hour window of arrival time for appointments. Jobs will be completed during business hours Monday-Friday.

• Please keep children and pets out of the work area for duration of the installation.

B. MEASURE MEDIR

- Measure the length and width (in inches) of each section.- Mide el largo y el ancho (en pulgadas) de cada sección.

- To measure the width of your existing countertop, measure from the back wall to the fi nished front edge.

- Para medir el ancho de tu mostrador actual, mide desde la pared posterior hasta el borde delantero terminado.

- Multiply the length times the width for each section to get the area.- Multiplica el largo por el ancho de cada sección para obtener el área.

- Total the area for each section and then divide by 144 to calculate the total square footage.- Suma la superfi cie de cada sección y divide el total entre 144 para obtener el total de pies cuadrados.
