You need to select Website from the first option.

Enter you account name, you can use your google username or other names.

Website Name such as Mytechgoal.

Enter your URL with http:// such as http://mytechgoal.com/, select category and select yourcountry.

After filling up all the information, scroll down and click on Get Tracking ID.

 

A popup will appear with Analytics terms and conditions. Select I Accept.

 

Then you can see your tracking ID. Just like below image. Copy the tracking ID.

Now log into your blogger Dashboard. Click on Settings and select Other.

Now enter the Tracking ID you have got from Google Analytics on Analytics Web Property ID?box. Finally, click on Save Settings.

 

That’s all. You have successfully added Analytics to your blogger blog.

 

How to add google analytics to your blog: WordPress

You can also install Analytics to your WordPress site.

Open an account in GA with your blog name, URL, category and more just you have done inblogger blog.

When you will get Tracking ID your next step start.

Now you need to add these codes to WordPress.

There are two options: you can add manually or you can add using WordPress plugin.

Here I will describe both ways to install Google Analytics to WordPress.

Add Google Analytics Manually

Open your WordPress Dashboard. Navigate to Appearance and select Editor.

 

Select Theme.Header(header.php) from the right side under Templates menu.

Now find out </head> tag, you can use Ctrl+F to detect this tag from code area.

 

Now copy and paste the Website tracking code just before the </head> tag.

Once you have pasted the code click on Update File.

It takes 1224 hours to give you the actual traffic data.

 

Add Google Analytics Using WordPress Plugin

There are different WordPress plugins to add Google Analytics.

You can use Google Analytics by MonsterInsigts. It has more than 1 million downloads.

Just install and activate this plugin.

Now go to plugin area and click on Settings just under MonsterInsights.

Now select  Click here to authenticate manually just under Authenticate with your GoogleAccount.

Then enter your Tracking Code and finally, click on Save Changes.
