The Parish Concerns & Announcements

The Choral Call to Worship: “Hosanna!” .......................................................................... M. K. Beal

The Chiming of the Hour

The Flame and Cross Come to the Altar

The Prelude: “Lift Up Your Heads” ................................................................... Alexandre Guilmant

*The Hymn of Celebration: “Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart” ...................................................... No. 160

*The Minister: “Let Us Unite in the Historic Confession of the Christian Church” I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

*The Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

The Call to Prayer Take this moment to prepare to speak to the One who is more focused upon our hearts than upon our words. One who is more committed to us and our soul’s well-being than we are to our body’s comforts and pleasures. One who has shown us by the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ the seriousness with which He makes our appointment. The only One who loves us just because His love is greater than our sin. Free yourself in these moments from your fear-filled secrets by prayerfully confessing them in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

The Pastoral Prayer .......................................................................................... Rev. John Fugh, Jr.

The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

(8:30) *The Hymn of Preparation: “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna” ............................................ No. 278

The Minister: “Let Us Worship God with His Tithes and Our Offerings” The Offertory Prayer The Offertory: “All Glory, Laud, and Honor” .................................................... Michael Burkhardt

*The Doxology Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise Him, all creatures here below: praise Him above, ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

and Family Cookout

Easter is just around the corner and as always, as part of our celebration, we will have an

Easter Egg Hunt. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 4, at 11:30 a.m. at the 2100 block of Oak Avenue. Immediately following the Egg Hunt, we’ll have a cookout at noon

on the front lawn of St. Paul. St. Paul will provide the food and fun, but we need YOU to bring the fellowship. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs for comfortable seating. Your contribution of prefilled plastic eggs is very much appreciated. You may drop them off in the collection bin in the Church Office.

We will have Holy Communion on Sunday, April 12. If you or someone you know will be unwillingly absent due to illness, work schedule, or physical inability, we can deliver the elements. Please call the Church Office by Wednesday, April 8, with the name, address, phone number, and a convenient time for delivery. Please let an usher know if Gluten free communion wafers are your preference.

Attention: Each year during Holy Week, we have Family Night Supper on Maundy Thursday instead of on Wednesday night. If you have a standing reservation, it will be applied to Maundy Thursday supper; however, please be reminded to call the Church Office to cancel your standing reservation if you know in advance that you will not be able to attend.

E3 Student Ministry Encounter God, Engage Love, & Embrace Compassion

E3 will meet this Sunday, March 29 at 5 p.m. for anyone who is back in town. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for

correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Easter bunnies and baskets, Jesus and His resurrection, children and their anticipation of Easter morning are all a part of this week at St. Paul Preschool. We

wish you the happiest of Easters and the springiest of Springs! For more info, contact Nan Konze, Preschool Director, at (706)327-7452 or

email [email protected].

“If you think our hands are full, you should see our hearts.”

Introducing “The Prayer Path Experience” at St. Paul Guided prayers have long been a part of the church's history. In this prayer experience, there are 11 stations that will allow you to focus on a different aspect of life and to devote a few moments in prayer and reflection. This prayer event will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete; therefore, you go at your own pace through the different stations. In a world that is packed with events and schedules, where it is difficult to come up for air, this prayer path is a welcome Sabbath. I hope you will carve out time for this event and allow it to foster your faith and love for God.
