• Our thriller film represented a middle aged psychopathic group. This is very common in thriller film and often when the movie is a psychological one it often features a middle aged man. Feature and prop such as his car and the fact that he is very neat and has an obsessive compulsive disorder are a common psychological thriller. This is very common in thriller films such as stepfather, psycho and more. Similarly these film has a middle aged male character for example Norman bates who has a psychological issue. The fact that he was middle aged man made him a great example, similarly to our character who is obsessed with keeping women, he is obsessed with the idea that his mother is alive and dresses up as her. He is weird twisted and will stop at nothing. In thrillers the obsession of women is commonly associated with middle aged men. The protagonist often has a form of obsession which they often hide from the public by conveying a normal life. Our character show normality by driving a nice car living in a nice house and presented himself neatly. Character like this are very common in thriller. another great example is the thriller classic The stepfather and the main character he is a great representation of middle aged man and the way in which they are portrayed in thriller movies. In a way our character emulated this character and show similar psychological traits.

• We represented the social group using a lot of psychological aspects. We ensure that the character express very little facial expression and also has very dramatic mood changes. The fact that he kidnapped a woman and didn’t seem to show any remorse about his action. This very common amongst thriller protagonist especially the male. We also ensure that we presented his mental issues clearly. First when opening the door he used and clothe showing his fear of dirty and an obsession with neatness, then when dressing up he dusted dirty of his suit. These trait are what show that it is a physiological thriller. Obsession in thriller is most commonly associated with middle aged men hence why we included it in our thriller.

Damsel in distress

• Our damsel in distress in our thriller was young and beautiful female. We ensured that she was blonde and had blue eyes as this is very common within thrillers. It is very common as it shows that the female is mostly incapable to defending themselves and very dependent. Film like captivity show a young female who is clearly fleeing and needs help. Similarly to our film the female is shown tied up and she is unable to help herself. With many thrillers and damsel in distress the theme of helplessness is present and commonly they are fleeing and trying to get away form a male protagonist
