How Do I Schedule Fee Payments/Installments?

The fees associated with your account are set and maintained by your School District. The

directions below will help you use the PayForIt.net application to pay for your fees.

Step 1 – Select Fees Menu����Schedule Fee Payment

1) To set up Scheduled fees from the homepage, press Fees and choose Schedule Fee Payment.

1) To limit the list, choose a certain student and/or a certain date range.

2) The fees existing on your account will display in the Fee Name drop down.

Step 2 – Choose Installment Payment Amounts and Dates

• Depending on the amount of installments allowed by your school, an Installment field will display for each payment. In the example below, the school has chosen 5 installments, and there is a corresponding column for all 5 payments.

• The installment payments can be set to any amount and date, but must total the Amount Due field and payments must be completed during the effective dates.

i) The system will start the payments on the first day after the effective date.

ii) In our example, the Amount due is $500 and must be paid within the time frame given 5/23/2012 to 11/23/2012.

iii) Scheduled payments must be made before the due date, in the example 6/22/2012.

3) The fee can be paid within the total installments allowed, or can be paid in the amount of

installments you choose. a) Total amount of installments:

i) Choose the amount you would like pay for the first installment, using the first

Amount dropdown.

NOTE: Once chosen, the amount still due will roll to the next payment Amount dropdown.

ii) Choose the date for the payments, by selecting the Calendar dropdown next to the

payment date, or leave the default Payment Date.

iii) Continue choosing the amount, and date for the rest of the installment payments.

iv) Check the Set box, and the schedule payment button will change from greyed out to available.

b) Select the installments:

i) You can choose to pay the entire amount within the first installment, or several, and do not have to use the total installments allowed.

ii) Simply check the Set box next after the final payment and the schedule payment button will change from greyed out to available.

Step 3 – Schedule Payment

4) Press the Schedule Payment button. A message will be displayed, confirming the amount of payments

scheduled.

5) Select Fees Menu�View/Edit Scheduled Payments

6) If you’d like to limit the list, you can choose a certain student and/or a certain date range.

Step 5 – Cancel Scheduled Payments

10) Payments can also be canceled from the Edit Scheduled Payments screen.

a) Check the Confirm Delete box

b) Press the Delete ALL payments button.

Step 6 – Configure Email Reminders for Scheduled Payments

Since your school is using PayForIt.net to process school fees, you can opt in to receive and email alert for PayForIt.net to send an email reminding you there is an upcoming fee payment which has been scheduled. You can determine how many days in advance you will be notified of the upcoming payment using the pull down box.

11) To configure your email options from the homepage press My Account and choose My Email Options.

12) To select the Upcoming Payment alerts, simply place a check mark in the box to the right and determine when you want to receive the alert.

General information

• If a scheduled payment is declined, you must reschedule that payment as the system will

not reattempt that specific payment again.
