my audience as they are powerful words such as ‘Exclusive’ that engage the reader as it will make them feel as if ‘R&B Xclusive’ is the only R&B magazine that they can get all the latest news on their favourite artists.

My main image is of 3 teenagers. As my target audience are teenagers it helped to attract my audience as they may feel they can relate to the artists as they are of a similar age. Also I use direct address in my main image as the models are staring directly at the camera. This engages my target audience as they may feel as if the ‘group’ is looking at them.

My main image is also of a featured artist. If target audience like the group on the front cover they will be more inclined to by the magazine because they are fully aware that the group are featured in the magazine.

Another way I attracted my target audience is by making my colour scheme the colours of the British flag (red, white and blue). This is a key method of attracting my audience as this magazine is a Best of British issue. This also connotes interest in the British genre

I used an editorial in my contents page to give a brief overview revealing what my=t magazine is about. In my editorial I used language devices such as superlatives to attract my audience. In my editorial I also state why readers should buy and would like my magazine.

In my contents I also give a prologue of my main article. By doing this I readers to want to read on therefore attracting my target audience to my magazine
