How did you attract your audience/address your audience

Ways in which I address my audicence

I attempted to address the audience in various different ways for example :

Have the artist posing as if they are looking directly to create a direct mode of address towards the reader to make the article feel more intimate

I also used dialogue such as ‘be the best you can be’ making it seem as if the artist is speaking to the reader again making it seem more intimate

Again I have used a Direct mode of address withMy 2nd page of my double Page spread using the model Again having him look Directly at the reader to stimulate An intimate feeling.

Again I have used direct mode of Address on my front cover this is a Typical convention on most magazines In order to make the audience seem Enticed to buy the magazine As you can see below there are some Examples of magazine in the same genre Which I am aiming towards which useDirect mode of address.

Other ways in which I attracted the audience

Use of props – I used props such as jewellery in order to create a typical hip-hop image for my audience in order to make my magazine seem more realistic

I also used headphones and a microphone in order to give the Target Audience an idea into the type of magazine that I am trying to sellIn order to show my audience it is a hip-hop magazine by using Stereotypical features which you would see on other magazines in my genre such as Vibe

In order to appeal to my target audienceI used colloquiums to relate to the age group I am aiming at such as ‘spittin’ and ‘blocks’Which gives the reader a more intimate Feeling as they feel they can relate to the Article as they understand the slang which isBeing used because they are fans of hip-hop And will hear it all the time in the music and Also see it in the magazines.

Attracting the audience through colour

I used very vibrant colours in order to attract my audience for Example the use of the colour green stands out and is likelyTo grab the audiences attention and this is what you have to Do if you are going to be a competitor as if your magazine looks The same as all the others what is the chance of the audiencePicking your magazine when it looks similar to all the same.

As you can The Source magazine also used the colour greenAnd this really stands out and matches the colour scheme and The theme of the magazine which is the ‘legal marijuana:Stimulus debate. And mine also has the same idea behind it theMagazine being green as it is the ‘green swag issue’

I also used other ideas on my front cover toAppeal to the audience such as competitions Which you would see on other magazines as well
