Fish Tank Sweet Sixteen

•Medium long shot/ head on. Bent over to standing up, Heavy breathing.•Derelict house/ council estate. Over looking London, nice sunny day.•Tracksuit- stereotypical tomboy, not very feminine. •First meet sister sunbathing keeping up with looks•Hand held camera-social realism film.•Aggressive-laughs in the face of people who dance like popular R&B videos.•(girls performing for men-dancing like popular R&B and pop music videos during 2009)•Dance is throughout film-Mia dances for her self (first time we see her dance is when she innocently shows Connor her routine)•Introduced to mum and violence-sees why she is like she is from her mother (sees how she got her violence and rude words from her mother)•Sees a horse tied up and chained metaphor of her self chained up tried to become free but is interrupted.•Every single person introduced to has been aggressive towards them – kind to animals only able to show soft side to animals. Any opportunity she is given to show her soft side is taken away from her.

•Positive attitude towards the kids. Whilst charging them money to look through the telescope. •Endearing attitude set up. Calming music over top. Looking at the stars teaching them about stars and life. Right and wrong if they haven’t paid they can’t look through the telescope.•Smoking inside not able to do any more. •Set in Greenock heavy accents. (near Glasgow)•High unemployment heavy smoking and drinking in the middle of the day.•Endearing with elders having banter joking around with them. Different attitude than with children.•First encounter with police man-giving disabled person a ticket for parking. (they are spending time on petty things-socialist views)•Non-digetic music sets the atmosphere. Humorous outlook on Liam’s life. Unlike fish audience feels sorry for Mia.
