You can identify complementary angles by the two adjacent angles that cover a right angle. The right angle mark is in red to make it easier to identify.

Supplementary angles are two angles that sum to 180o . These angles do not have to be adjacent angles.

Linear pairs are angles that are adjacent and supplementary. They get the name “linear” because these angles create a line.
