A full catalog to fulfill their purchasing needs. With increased purchasing options, Cape Fear became more successful with recruiting and retention efforts. Cape Fear Valley was already familiar and pleased with the value Purchasing Power’s low-cost, easy-to-administer purchase program delivered to its employee benefits package. But with recruitment of new qualified prospects and retention of the most tenured employees becoming increasingly competitive, it needed to expand its program offering to provide more than just computers.

In 2010, after receiving not only positive employee comments about the convenience of payroll deduction purchasing, but also requests for additional purchasing options such as electronics and home appliances, Cape Fear Valley’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources decided to expand its Purchasing Power benefits offering to include the full catalog of products and services.

Cape Fear Valley now offers the full catalog, giving its employees access to products and services that empower them to make more affordable decisions to help their personal and professional goals. They’ve discovered that employee benefits with better terms keep employees happier for the long term.

The ability to purchase big-ticket items, whether it’s flat screen TVs [or] computers, and be able to do it through payroll deduction, allows employees who are budget conscious to not have to buy something all at once. The quality of the products that we see on the Purchasing Power website are excellent.- Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Cape Fear
