Other key messages• The Australian Curriculum has been embedded in NSW
BOS syllabuses, which will begin implementation in 2014.
• The literacy and numeracy continuums are compatible• Those schools ‘doing’ Focus on reading, AL, L3, TOWN,
and even Best Start, will find that the syllabuses are an extension of the learning they have done
• Diversity, meeting the needs of all students, including those with learning difficulties is central to the new syllabuses
• A genuine continuum of learning
