When the Wyndham Grand Regency in Doha, Qatar decided to make the leap from inefficient halogen bulbs to LEDs it turned to GE Lighting to provide a solution that would reduce the hotel’s energy consumption in-line with its desire to promote green practices and environmental sustainability. The lighting solution will save 184,800W energy per year and 12,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, in addition to delivering superior aesthetics that reflect the high standards kept by the hotel.

Challenge. Hotel Wyndham Grand Regency requested an upgrade on the lighting system to reduce energy consumption but keep the look and feel of the prestigious five-star hotel.

GE solution. To ensure the requirements of the Wyndham Grand Regency would be met, GE Lighting proposed replacement of all the halogen lamps with 6W LED GU10 lamps.
