Every manufacturer today is under pressure to meet higher productivity, lower costs, and high quality standards while keeping the environmental impact to a minimum. COE Press Equipment took on this challenge, investing significant research and development time into the creation of the new EnviroClean wash system. This approach to coil strip washing is based upon a unique assembly of technology leveraging filtration, brushes and roll material to result in a wash unit where the whole is truly greater than the sum of the parts.

EnviroClean features several green technologies including the elimination of chemicals through use of clean filtered water, heat reclamation, water condensate return and oil reclamation. These innovations deliver approximately three times more energy and cost efficiency as compared to competitive equipment. Plus, they meet an amazing clean specification of >0.25 ppm.

Additionally, the EnviroClean design is based upon a cartridge-style modular approach that allows for convenient maintenance of the washer cassettes. These wash systems are constructed out of stainless steel and nickel for durability. And, all tanks and external piping are insulated for even better energy efficiency.

High Efficiency boilers – Six wash and two rinse boilers are staged to offer custom control of energy consumption based upon specific operating conditions adjustments such as ambient or coil temperature, as well as coil thickness, width or speed.

1Washer Cassettes – Two sets, each containing two 8” stainless steel back-up rollers and two 12” diameter scrubbing media rollers remove contamination without impacting surface quality.

2Solids removal filters – Media-free, in-line filters placed in both the wash and rinse tanks remove the bulk of tramp oil, while magnetic separator filters remove fines and steel particles from the fluid vestibules. And UV light stations kill waterborne bacteria.

3High Speed disc Centrifuge – Placed in both the wash and rinse areas, these filters remove extremely fine particulate matter (down to 1 micron) and minute amounts of oil that remain suspended in the water.

4dual Mist Collection System – 98% collection efficiency with clean air returned to the plant and mist returned to the tanks.5blow-off System – 30 hp directional air cannon system with sound enclosure dries off steel after the final rinse.6
