ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The Texas Forum for Reproductive Sciences (TFRS) was established in 1995 to encourage the exchange of the scientific knowledge and collaborations among scientists in Texas in the area of female reproduction. Several years later, this cooperative group expanded to include male reproduction and began an all-inclusive Forum for Reproductive Sciences. The 23rd Annual TFRS meeting is being held at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas and we greatly appreciate the provision of facilities for the meeting by this institution.
We would like to thank Drs. Marie-Claude Hofmann and Chandra Yallampalli for their continued efforts as the local meeting organizers. We also thank the Center for Reproductive Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine, for hosting the TFRS website. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Greg Johnson for the application of his artistic talents to the design of our TFRS t-shirts and for ordering and transporting the t-shirts from College Station.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Sandra Dale and Tracy Augustine for their major contributions through organization of registration, abstracts, name badges and programs. Without their arduous hours of effort and attention to detail, this meeting would not be possible.
We thank the Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences at UT Southwestern Dallas for printing this year’s program. We also thank the members of the TFRS Steering Committee for their time and effort in ensuring the continued success of the TFRS and in coordinating this year’s meeting. These members include Brian Hermann (UTSA), Greg Johnson (TAMU), Dolores Lamb (BCM), Qinglei Li (TAMU), Mala Mahendroo (UTSW), John McCarrey (UTSA), Joanne Richards (BCM), Ingatia Van den Veyver (BCM), Chandra Yallampalli (BCM), Austin Cooney (DMS), Shaye Lewis (PVAM), Marie-Claude Hofmann (MD Anderson) and Gary Newton (PVAM).
A special thank you goes to our judges. Platform Judges include: Stephanie Pangas (BCM), Joanne Richards (BCM), Greg Johnson (TAMU), Carole Mendelson (UTSW) and John McCarrey (UTSA). Poster Judges include: Ram Menon (UTMB), Qinglei Li (TAMU), Fuller Bazer (TAMU), Austin Cooney (DMS), Dorrie Lamb (BCM), Satish Kumar (UTMB), Kathleen Pennington (BCM), and Gary Newton (PVAM).
