HOST Key Principles• Lancashire arts organisations and artists are at the heart of the programme • We develop home grown talent, and new & emerging artists where possible• Quality and ambition are key to any art delivered. • We work to create a themed programme of arts activity connecting venues e.g.

Blaze Festival.• Arts activity compliments existing high profile activities within cultural services e.g.

Lancashire Book of the Year, as well as existing high profile arts activity in Lancashire e.g. Litfest, Contemporary Heritage

• We ensure opportunities for collaborations between organisations and across artform are created, and that risk is encouraged

• We create new festivals and events that shine a spotlight on the programme and create maximum marketing opportunities

• We ensure robust monitoring and evaluation processes are in place at the start of the programme, to ensure outcomes and targets are measured and learning is disseminated
