For more than 10 years, the Worldwide Hospitality Awards, created by

Georges Panayotis, Chairman and CEO MKG Group, have undertaken

the promotion of hospitality industry initiatives all around the world.

The Hospitality Awards committee receives close to 150 applications

in each of the categories from 25 countries on all 5 continents every

year. They concern the top ten international hotel groups - representing

more than 4 million rooms wideworld - as well as newer brands, the

rising stars of an ever-changing industry.

The Hospitality Awards thus offer an excellent representation of

the international hospitality industry’s diversity and help reveal its

innovative processes and concepts.

More than 900 hotel operators, investors, hospitality suppliers,

franchisees, etc. attend the awards ceremony every year.

This international competition is an opportunity for hotel groups to highlight their teams’ exemplary

achievements in communication, marketing, innovation, human resources, social and environmental

responsibility, customer loyalty programs...

Evaluation criteria

The candidates will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

The Best General Manager will be distinguished according to the following criteria: business performance, human and social dimension, implication in the local community, professional recognition by peers and involvement in community life. Only a General Manager who is currently working in a hotel can participate in this competition. The laureate will not be able to present another candidacy in the same category for the next 10 years.

Organizing companyHOSPITALITY ON SAS is a limited company with a capital of 10,000 € and headquarters at 28 boulevard Raspail – 75007 Pa-ris, registered in the Trade & Corporate Register under number RCS 524 132 123 and represented by Mr Georges PANAYOTIS, President and CEO (hereafter designated as « organizing com-pany » or « organizer») is organizing on November 5th 2015 two international competitions called the «Worldwide Hospitality Awards» and the «Worldwide Hospitality School Awards», accor-ding to the methods described in these regulations.

Article 2Presentation of the event

HOSPITALITY ON has undertaken the valorization of the hos-pitality industry’s initiatives around the world with the World-wide Hospitality Awards and the Worldwide Hospitality School Awards. This international competition is an opportunity for hoteliers and hotel schools to promote their teams’ exemplary achievements in the following categories:

Worldwide Hospitality Awards1. Best Communication CampaignThis Award will be presented to distinguish a communica-tion campaign developed by a hotel group or a brand for its domestic and/or international market. It may include various communication tools: TV spots, radio, printed press, billboards, Internet...

2. Best Brand Marketing OperationThis Award will recognize a marketing campaign or a single operation geared towards supporting, promoting, re-launching a hotel brand through innovative initiatives, tools and partnerships.

3. Best Initiative in Sustainable Development and Social Res-ponsibilityThis Award will be attributed to an initiative or program that shows a brand or hotel group’s implication in sustainable development, fair trade and/or the social responsibility of the company towards local populations and staff, and/or tourist sites and natural resources.

4. Best Initiative in Human Resources and Talent ManagementThis Award will be attributed to a program that reveals the exemplary nature of its human resources policy in terms of recruitment, new employee integration, diversity, career deve-lopment, performance assessment, motivation of personnel, company spirit.

5. Best Innovation in Hotel ConceptThis Award will be attributed to a new concept, new service or a particular initiative of a group, a brand, a hotel which reflects the capacity of this sector to innovate and to renew itself. This concept presents a vision of comfort and/or a better quality of service for guests in terms of design, public spaces, technology and services, conference rooms,…

6. Best Innovation in F&B This Award will be attributed to a new concept, a new service or an initiative by a hotel group / hotel brand or an inde-pendent hotel. It provides a new vision of gastronomy, better service performance in terms of dining concept, room-service, bar and banqueting…

7. Best Innovation in WellnessThis Award will be attributed to a new concept, a new service or an initiative by a hotel group / hotel brand or an inde-pendent hotel. It provides a new vision of relaxation, health care, well-being in a broad sense including fitness and spas…

8. Best Innovation in Digital Sales & MarketingThis Award will be attributed to the development of innovative digital tools to support direct hotel sales for the benefit of hotel groups and the promotion of their brands: websites, CRS, CRM, connected devices, digital services…

Best HotelierThe Best General Manager will be distinguished according to the following criteria: business performance, human and social dimension, implication in the local community, professional recognition by peers and involvement in community life. Only a General Manager who is currently working in a hotel may participate in this competition. The laureate will not be able to submit another candidacy in the same category for the next 10 years.

10. Best Iconic EmployeeThis Award will be attributed to an employee on the payroll of a hotel who has left their mark on their profession through their exemplary career, recognition of the clients and the qua-lity of their services..

Rules & Regulations 201511. Lifetime Achievement:This Award will be attributed by the Advisory Board to an international hospitality personality who has left his mark on the industry as a pioneer, an innovator, a company manager and a successful entrepreneur.

12. Grand Prix Hospitality ON :This Award will be attributed by the international Jury to an international hospitality company that has left its mark in 2015 through its achievements in four complementary areas: deve-lopment, innovation, human resources and commercial perfor-mances.

Worldwide Hospitality School Awards 1. Best Innovation in an Educational ProgramThis Award will be attributed to an innovating initiative that covers several fields (educational, sustainable development, internatio-nal student exchange...). This action or mission aims at providing students with the necessary tools to be more operational in the catering and hospitality fields, and at strengthening the rela-tionships between the trade and training institutions.

2. Best Professional SuccessThis Award will be attributed to a graduate, who has been working for 5 years (maximum), and is less than 30 years old. These young professionals must distinguish themselves through their acade-mic results and a promising and/or successful career debut in the hotel industry. They must demonstrate their potential to climb the ladder of success and to serve their companies efficiently. The candidates are presented either by a hotel school or a hospitality entity, as long as they both obtained a reciprocal approval. Applications for the Best Professional Success are presented by a hotel school or business in the hotel industry. The school or busi-ness presenting the candidate must have the choice approved by the relevant business or school. Under no circumstances will the organizing company intervene in the validation process between the school and business, and the Organizing Company will not be required to inform the hotel school or business concerned about the applications it has received from either businesses or schools. The Organizing Company will not be held responsible if there has been no agreement for presenting the candidature.

3. Best Hospitality Management SchoolThis Award will be attributed to the Best Hospitality Management School, comes from the school rankings by human resource mana-gers at the largest hotel groups, according to criteria of the qua-lity of training programs and courses, professional insertion rate, satisfaction and positive reputation among hospitality employers.

Article 4Conditions for participation

This competition is open to all Hotel Groups / Corporate Hotel Chains / Voluntary Chains / Independent Hotels / Franchised Hotels / Residence Hotels / Hotel Schools / Hospitality related training programs / Hospitality Secondary schools and any person representing a hotel worldwide (hereafter called « Candidates »), with exception to employees of the organizing company and their families.

Article 5Announcement of the competition

This competition is publicized via the following media: Official website of the event: www.hospitalityawards.com / Press Par-

tner of the event www.hospitality-on.com and Hospitality ON Magazine/e-mailings, etc.

Article 6Conditions of participation

To participate in this event, Candidates must complete the registration form available at: http://hospitality-on.com/fi-leadmin/Hospitality_Awards/DOCS/WHA-INSCRIPTIONS.pdf or register online at:

http://store.hospitality-on.com/evenements-mkg/worldwide-hospitality-awards.html , pay registration fees and send their application to the Organizing Company. Each application sub-mitted to the Worldwide Hospitality Awards and Worldwide Hospitality School Awards is subject to a questionnaire written by the Advisory Board. The applications are presented in the form of either PowerPoint slideshows or PDF files, in English or French, responding to the different points in the questionnaire, as well a compulsory one-page summary of their application in English only. This mandatory presentation may be accompa-nied by supporting documents: brochures, photos, CD, video. Moreover, all candidates must provide a high-definition image of their brand’s logo. Applicants expressly confer upon the Organizing Company the right to use the logo of their brands on the internet sites http://hospitality-on.com/ and http://www.hospitalityawards.com/ which are accessible worldwide throu-ghout the legal period of protection in France of the intellectual property rights of said logos. Selected finalists will provide a one minute video illustrating their dossier. These elements will be used during the ceremony. Full applications must be sub-mitted online through the website of Hospitality ON (http://hospitality-on.com/rubriques/dossiers-awards/) by the appli-cant, giving permission to the Organizer to publish them on the aforementioned websites throughout the duration of the event, without prejudice to the provisions of article 20 here below. The Applicant will also ensure their submission complies with the laws and regulations in France. More particularly, the Appli-cant guarantees that the dossier contains no elements that are inconsistent with good moral, injurious, defamatory, counter-feit, xenophobic, homophobic, anti-Semitic, etc… Submission dates for candidates: from April 27th 2015 until September 25th 2015 inclusive for the below mentioned categories : Best Communication Campaign / Best Brand Mar-keting Operation / Best Initiative in Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility / Best Initiative in Human Resources and Talent Management / Best Innovation in Hotel Concept/ Best innovation in F&B / Best Innovation in Wellness / Best Innovation in Digital Sales & Marketing/ Best Innovation in an Educational Program

Submission dates for candidates: from April 27th 2015 until October 21st 2015 inclusive for the below mentioned cate-gories: Best Hotelier / Best Iconic Employee/ Best Professional Success

Participation in the Worldwide Hospitality Awards and World-wide Hospitality School Awards implies full acceptance of the present regulations with no reserve. By accepting the terms of these rules and regulations, Candidates accept that these take effect retroactively April 27th 2015.

Article 7Registration Fees

650 euros tax excl. per application for a hotel group / chain or hotel belonging to a hotel group for the 1st to 3rd application / 550 euros tax excl. per application for the 4th and 5th applications / 450 euros tax excl. per application for the 6th and thereafter / and 450 euros tax excl. per application for independent proper-ties or hotel schools. Participation in the competition will only be confirmed upon reception of the duly completed application(s), as well as full payment of application fees. The Applicant must pay application fees upon receipt of invoice from the Organizing Company if said fees were not paid at the moment of submission of the application. The Applicant has until the eve of the Award Ceremony, or November 4th, 2015 to pay participation fees. If a candidate has not paid application fees prior to the event, the organizing company reserves the right to disqualify the candidate from the competition. In case of late payment, pursuant to article L 441-6 of French Commercial Code, a fee may be levied of three times the applicable legal interest rate as well as a flat fee for recovery costs of 40 euros.Each application includes an invitation for one person, whose substitution is possible at any time, to the awards ceremony which will take place Thursday 5th of November 2015 at the InterConti-nental Paris le Grand Hotel. Once registered for the competition, the application(s) cannot be refunded or cancelled.

Article 7 (bis)Participation in the Ceremony

The public may attend the ceremony by registering with the Orga-nizer at 28 boulevard Raspail 75007 Paris after July 1st 2015 or 5 rue de Dantzig 75015 Paris prior to June 30 2015 / or until the day of the Event, November 5th 2015 included at [email protected]. The rate to attend the ceremony is 190 euros tax excl. per participating hotel operator, 395 euros tax excl. per non-hotel operator participant. The hotel operator rate is applicable to anyone working in a hotel structure or any person who owns one or more hotels. All other categories will be considered non-hote-lier. As soon as the registration form is duly signed, payment must be received upon receipt of invoice from the Organizer. Payment may be made by check, bank transfer, debit/credit card online at http://store.hospitality-on.com/mkg-events/worldwide-hospitali-ty-awards/. After October 26th 2015 only credit card payments will be accepted. Registration is personal and non-refundable.

The number of places being limited, the Organizing Company cannot guarantee that all requests be accepted. Priority will be given to hoteliers.

Participants in the Award Ceremony accept that their name and photograph be reproduced in advertisements online (on the

websites of the Organizing Company) in connection to the Worldwide Hospitality Awards and Worldwide Hospitality School Awards, worldwide and for ten (10) years following their participation in the Award Ceremony, with no reference, payment or compensation.

Article 8ADVISORY BOARD

The Advisory Board consists of a president and around twenty representatives of hotel schools and hotel groups and people in financing/economics. It guarantees that the selection follows good procedures by defining the categories and rules of the competition. It also intervenes in the selection of finalists and the winner of the following categories a. Best Innovation in an Educational Programb. Lifetime Achievement (cf article 11 of the Rules and Regu-lations).

Article 9Juries

The selection of finalists and of winners of certain awards will be made by three (3) different juries, as described hereafter. The different juries of the Hospitality Awards and the World-wide Hospitality School Awards reserve the right to divide into two sub-categories: Corporate Concept and Individual Initia-tive, depending on the number and nature of the application files received.• A corporate concept is an innovation by a hotel group or chain with more than 10,000 rooms and with the intention to implement it in several hotels of the group/chain. An innova-tion by a sole hotel from group or chain with more than 10,000 rooms will be considered an individual initiative. • An individual initiative is an innovation realized by an inde-pendent hotel or simple hotel from a hotel chain or group. The Organizing Company reserves the right to withdraw one or more categories from the competition if the number of applica-tions received for this or these caterogory(ies) is not sufficient. In this case the organizing company will inform candidates of its decision to retract the category. Candidates that have sub-mitted an application to this category may be shifted to a new category or choose to have their application fee reimbursed.The different juries reserve the right to move an application from one category to another if they judge that the application is more suited for this new category.

9.1 The Jury of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards consists of a President and forty or so high profile personalities from the business world, the tourism industry and communications, out-side the hotel-restaurant industry (the “International Jury”). The jury will gather on Thursday, October 8th 2015 at the InterCon-tinental Paris Le Grand Hotel to select:9.1.1 The finalists for the following categories:a. Best Communication Campaignb. Best Innovation in Digital Sales & Marketingc. Best Innovation in Hotel Conceptd. Best Innovation in F&Be. Best Innovation in Wellness

9.1.2 The finalists and winners of the following categories:a. Best Brand Marketing Operationb. Best Initiative in Sustainable Development and Social Res-ponsibilityc. Best Initiative in Human Resources and Talent Management(ref article 11 of the Rules & Regulations).

Rules & Regulations 20159.2 The Jury of the Worldwide Hospitality Schools Awards consists of a President and twenty or so representatives from hotel groups, members of the Advisory Board of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards (Jury «Advisory Board») They will meet on Friday, October 9th 2015 between 3pm and 5pm at the Inter-Continental Paris Le Grand hotel to select the finalists for the following categoriesa. Best innovation in an educational program Educational Inno-vation «Hospitality Management Schools» b. Lifetime achievement (ref article 11 of the Rules and Regu-lations)

9.3 The Jury that will select finalists and winners for the catego-ries «Best Iconic Employee», «Best Professional Success», «Best Hospitality Management School», «Best Hotelier», and «Grand Prix Hospitality ON» is made up of the editorial staff of Hospi-tality ON (the «Hospitality ON Jury»). This jury is made up of a President and a dozen members and will meet on Friday 23rd of October 2015 in the offices of the Organizing Company.

Selection of the members of the different juries is done only by the organizing company and cannot be contested. The list of jury members and of the steering committee will not be revealed in order to avoid any attempts of corruption.

Article 10Selection criteria and methods

Applications will be evaluated according to the three following criteria: 1. The innovative aspects of the projects submitted. 2. The exemplary quality of the operation and its capacity to strengthen or expand. 3. Efficiency of actions taken in terms of economic benefits.

Article 11Selection process

The determination of finalists and laureates follows a three-step process with the intervention of a specific jury following the different categories as specified in article 9 above.

First stage: vote by web users registered on the Hospitali-ty-ON.com websiteDuring the period from September 28th to October 7th 2015, registered users of the website Hospitality-On.com may elect their choices for Best Communication Campaign / Best Brand Marketing Operation / Best Initiative in Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility / Best Initiative in Human Resources and Talent Management / Best Innovation in Hotel Concept/ Best Innovation in F&B / Best Innovation in Wellness / Best Innovation in Digital Sales & Marketing/ Best Innovation in an Educational Program from among the dossiers posted online, in order to sway the selection which will be submitted to each specific jury. The Organizing Company cannot be held responsible for voting resulting from late submissions and/or incomplete application files.

Second stage: intervention of juries I) Shortlisting by each specific jury The International Jury, meets for a deliberation session on Thur-sday, October 8th 2015, to examine the applications presented to determine the finalists in the following categories:

a. Best Communication Campaign b. Best Innovation in Digital Sales & Marketingc. Best Innovation in Hotel Conceptd. Best Innovation in F&Be. Best Innovation in Wellness

II) Selection1) The International Jury, meets for a deliberation session on Thursday, October 8th 2015, to examine the applications pres-ented to determine the finalists and the winners in the following categories: a. Best Brand Marketing Operationb. Best Initiative in Sustainable Development and Social Res-ponsibilityc. Best Initiative in Human Resources and Talent Management

2) The Hospitality ON Jury will select finalists and winners on Friday, October 23rd 2015, in the following categories: a. Best Iconic Employee b. Best Hotelier c. Best Professional Success d. Best Hospitality Management School e. Grand Prix Hospitality ON

3) The Advisory Board Jury, meets on Friday, October 9th 2015, to select the winner of the category: a. Best Innovation in an Educational Program b. Lifetime Achievement

Scoring system: Scoring will be carried out as follows: • Each Jury member will attribute one point to the candidate of their choice in each category.• The sum of these points will establish a ranking to determine the three finalists for each category. • In case of a draw for 1st place, the Jury will proceed to another vote to decide between the two candidates or can decide to award the prize to both candidates (only in the case that the candidate which will take 2nd rank is selected as a finalist). In case of a draw for 3rd place, the jury will proceed to a new vote to differentiate between the two candidates. In case of a draw for the 2nd place, the two candidates will be qualified for the final round without having to break the tie. Once the results are established, the presidents of the different juries will deliver the results to the court bailiff at the end of deliberations.

Third stage: the electronic public vote during the awards ceremony During the Award ceremony on Thursday, November 5th 2015 at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand, the public will have elec-tronic voting remote controls, and will contribute though their own vote, under supervision of the bailiff who will also draw up an official report of the vote, to determine the winners among the finalists designated by the different juries for the following categories: a. Best Communication Campaign b. Best Innovation in Hotel Conceptc. Best Innovation in Wellnessd. Best Innovation in F&Be. Best Innovation in Digital Sales & Marketing For these categories the public’s decision will not be deliberated and will be final.

AwardsFinalists will be presented with a certificate attesting to finalist sta-tus and signed by the President of the Organizing Company, the President of the Ceremony, the President of the Advisory Board and the President of the Jury. A trophy will be presented to the winner of each of the categories. These prizes have no monetary value.

Article 13Identification of winners and elimination

from participationCandidates and participants for this ceremony authorize the verification of their identity by the Organizing Company and all information on the registration form. Submissions in which the questionnaire is incomplete and/or provides incomplete or false contact information will not be taken into consideration and will result in them being eliminated from the event. Registration fees will not be refunded.

Article 14Modification of the dates of the competition

and increase in number of prizesThe Organizing Company will not be held responsible in any way should it be forced to cancel this competition, due to force ma-jeure or events beyond its control. Moreover, it reserves the right, within legal limits, to extend or limit the participation deadline, postpone or change conditions, and it cannot be held responsible because of this. Additions and modifications to these regulations may eventually be made. They will be considered as amendments to the present rules. Any modification will be delivered as an amendment to the Bailiff agent of the present regulations.

Article 15Use of winners’ identity

By participating in the competition participants accept the unres-tricted use of their name and surname, position and city of resi-dence and photograph, as well as their voice recorded during the ceremony for ten years following their participation in the awards ceremony. Use may be through online advertising supports (websites of the Organizing Company) and supports printed in connection to the Worldwide Hospitality Awards and Worldwide Hospitality School Awards accessible worldwide with no credit or compensation other than the trophy / certificate.

Article 16Filing of the regulations

Participants in this competition accept the present regulations in their entirety – deposited at the Court Bailiffs (SCP LOUVION JP.LOUVION-P. LOUVION –C. LOUVION & P.BEDDOUK; Huissier de Justice Associes; 7, rue Sainte Anastase - 75139 PARIS Cedex 03). It must be noted that the President of each jury, will deliver the names of finalists and/ or the winners in each category, to the court bailiff who will deliver them in a sealed envelope during the ceremony that will take place on Thursday, November 5th 2015.

Article 17Interpretation of the regulations and

attribution of competencyAny eventual contestation of the interpretation of the present regulations will be considered by the organizing company alone. There will be no answer to any written or verbal inquiry concer-ning the mechanism of the competition or the interpretation of these regulations. In accordance with provisions of Article 2254 du Code Civil, any action taken by Candidates against the Organizing Company due to the validity, interpretation, execution or non-execution, interruption or cancellation of the regulations will no longer be taken into consideration after one year from the Award Cere-mony.

The present regulations (including their interpretation and all litigations deriving from them) are governed by French law.

ANY LITIGATION SUSCEPTIBLE TO DERIVE FROM THE VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION, EXECUTION OR NON EXECUTION, INTERRUP-TION OR CANCELLATION OF THE REGULATIONS REGLEMENT WILL BE REFERRED TO THE PARIS COMMERCIAL COURT.These Rules and Regulations (including its interpretation and any litation which may arise) is governed by French law.

Article 18Data protection Act

Personal data of participants and candidates in the competition will be collected and handled electronically for the sole purpose of the event’s organization. In accordance with the law n° 78-17 on January 6th 1978, each participant and each candidate may exercise their right to access, rectify or remove data concerning them by sending their request by mail to the following address: Hospitality ON Worldwide Hospitality Awards, 28 Boulevard Ras-pail 75007 Paris. Any participant or candidate may oppose use of their data for marketing purposes.

Article 20Transfer of copyright

Participants in this competition accept the cession of competi-tor’s copyrights to the Organizing Company and authorize the commercial use and exploitation of their contribution(s) to the competition with no compensation and with exception to the logo of their brand.

In this regard, Candidates acknowledge cession of their rights for reproduction, representation and adaptation of their contribution(s) to the Organizer, worldwide and for the duration of the legal protection in France of said rights, on all digital sup-ports (Web sites, social networks, community platforms, applica-tions mobiles, etc.) and printed supports (books, guides, leaflets, brochures, posters, postcards, etc.) for commercial, promotional and/or advertising purposes by the Organizing Company and for its activities, products and/or services

Rules & Regulations 2015Participants affirm they are the author of contributions submit-ted and guarantee that the works submitted are their original work.Participants assume responsibility for any authorizations requi-red by third parties that have directly or indirectly participated in the realization of the submission and/or who may estimate they have any exercisable rights. The participant will assume any charges and responsibility for expenses incurred. Generally speaking, the participant guarantees the organizers of this com-petition against any legal recourse, action or claim that could be made for any reason by any third party, upon the exercise of the Organizer’s rights to use application materials submitted for the competition or any other information released as per the present regulations. The participant will not hold the Organizer responsible in case of claims made by a third party due to coun-terfeit of copyrights or any violation of user or property rights of any nature. In addition, the participant must ensure that the images, sounds and videos are provided free of intellectual pro-perty or image rights. The Candidate assumes responsibility to obtain the necessary copyrights or authorization to use these elements from any third parties for the organization of the event and will guarantee that these elements may be used for com-mercial purposes by the Organizing Company.
