Escape the inner city rat race and instead enjoy a 5 minute commute to
work. Dubbo is a growing regional 'evocity' that offers a surprising depth
of natural beauty and cultural events. There is excellent coffee, an
exceptional farmers market, and beautiful riverside trails to explore (and
of course the zoo!)
Dubbo Health Service is growing, and is the perfect place for tomorrow's
clinical leader to launch a vibrant career. There is an in-depth education
program for JMOs, with enthusiastic senior mentors available for junior
staff. Dubbo Health Service works closely with the University of Sydney
School of Rural Health, and this strong working relationship ensures you
will feel educationally supported throughout your internship. We are
proud of our strong sense of collegiality and teamwork. Outside of work,
our rosters allow JMOs ample time to enjoy the cultural highlights and
natural beauty of Dubbo.
Emergency medicine is an extremely popular term at Dubbo and is
guaranteed to provide hands on and procedural exposure in a fast
paced clinical environment. Many of our past trainees have gone on to
obtain competitive metropolitan training positions in Emergency,
Medicine and Surgery training programs.
Dubbo Health Service maintains a strong partnership with GP Synergy
and offers exposure to Anaesthetics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and
Emergency Medicine career pathways. We are passionate about seeing
our trainees meet their career goals, whether that means further training
with the College for Emergency Medicine, entry into a Specialist Training
Program, or pursuing rural and remote practice as a Rural Generalist.
Undertaking your Internship and Resident training at Dubbo Health
Service will provide you with unmatched hands-on experience in clinical
medicine in a supportive team environment - all in a beautiful and
evolving regional city!
So...what are you waiting for?! Come for a tour of the hospital before you
