PSSA LEAGUE TAG - Off and running! Literally! The competition started in earnest last Friday with the Junior and Senior 1s scoring good wins against surprisingly competitive Hornsby South Teams. Overall a great start with great behaviour demonstrated by all. Thanks, Mr Hughes

PSSA TBALL/SOFTBALL - Round 2 Hornsby North V Turramurra North This week Hornsby North challenged Turramurra North, renowned Softball and T-ball champions for PSSA. The T-ball game was very difficult as many of the TN players had played this game for many years. Unfortunately the girls lost the game however they work well as team. Even though the game is new to many players, the girls are starting to pick up the basic rules and develop the skills needed to catch, throw and hit balls. The Softball girls had a great game. Many of the are still trying to understanding the tricky and confusing rules of the games. They had a great week of batting and fielding. Unfortunately the girls lost their game also. Keep trying girls! Thanks, Miss Page

PSSA CRICKET - Our teams recorded two victories against Turramurra North PS last Friday. The Juniors escaped with a very close 62-56 victory. The best bowlers were: Jeremy K. (3/4 from 2 overs), Luca S. (1/2), Zac B. (1/2) and Erik M. (0/2). Our best batting pairs were: Zac B. & Erik M. (28 runs from 4 overs), Remi V. & Nick Y. (12 runs from 2 overs) and Zac B. & Kai D. (10 runs from 2 overs). The teacher from Turramurra North was very complimentary of our boys for their sportsmanship and told me that they are a “nice, friendly group of boys”. Thank you boys for being such great representatives of our school! Our Senior team batted first and scored a solid total of 84 runs from 12 overs. The best batting pairs were: Zac L. & Jayden H. (24 runs), Tom A. & Riley P. (17 runs) and Ian A. & Lucas H. (13 runs). Our bowling and fielding was at its usual high standard as we restricted the opposition to 28 runs. The best bowlers were: Jordan W. (0/1), Jayden H. (0/1) and Aryan K. (1/5 from 2 overs). This Friday we are playing against Warrawee PS at Auluba Oval. A bus will take the boys to and from the oval. Please meet outside the school library at 8:45am. Thank you to the families who have paid the PSSA levy

($10) and the bus money ($14) to the office. If you have not

paid these, please pay by the end of this week.

Thanks, Michael Howard
