Why choose the Horner School of English ?
On arrival, students are given a written placement test and a short interview to check spoken levels. Then placed in the most appropriate class for their level. 5 class levels available.
OUR COURSES
Standard Course with 20 lessons
General English Course with 20 lessons Monday to Friday 09:30 to 13:10
Systematic practise in 4 main areas – Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening
Max 12 students (average 8) in the class from October to June, max 14 students (average 10) in the class from July to September
Students progress is monitored very carefully throughout their stay
Intensive General English Courses with 26 lessons / 2 afternoons per week – Monday and Wednesday
Standard Plus Course 6 lessons in the afternoon focus on improving speaking and listening skills
Standard Plus Business Course 6 lessons in the afternoon introduce the specialised language of business English and prepare the student to communicate effectively in a business environment
Standard Plus Exam Course 6 lessons in the afternoon focus on either TOEFL or IELTS preparation
Standard Plus Cambridge Preparation Course
6 lessons in the afternoon focus on either the Cambridge First or Advanced Certificate preparation
Individual lessons can be booked in addition – subject to availability
Work Experience Programme: Internships in Ireland The work experience programme is designed for students, graduates and young professionals aged 20 years and over with an upper intermediate (B2) English level
Work Experience starts after your English course.
Work experience for 4 weeks to 24 weeks. All work is unpaid.
The hours of work and the tasks assigned will be the responsibility of the host company
