As a Coordinator - Leading a consortium and pursuing its own ideas
As a Partner - Helping a leader, contributing with its own competencies
Carefully read the WP and topic description Understand the participation rules and evaluation criteria Read the Annexes for WP 2014/15 Read H2020 Grants Manual Discuss details with the NCP Contract coaching if needed

The KEYHOLE: Get proper coaching and information
Gather or join a consortium (check the List of countries and applicable rules for funding)
Mitigate risk of consortium disclosure (sign NDA or MOU)
Agree upon distribution of tasks and budget share early in the process Thoroughly prepare the financial, administrative and technical parts Seek advice from different sources and give yourself time to prepare Ask for external revision of your proposal Optionally consider specific consultancy for helping write the proposal

Keep in mind “the Devil is in the details “ when planning and writing the proposal. Follow some basic rules: The proposal must be central to the WP call and target the topic
description Write the proposal keeping in mind the evaluation criteria: (excellence,
organization and impact) Only what is written can be evaluated Evaluators may not be experts in your domain neither native English Put yourself in the shoes of a evaluator (It must be clear what the
proposal is all about by page 3) Use clear writing and self-explanatory pictures, short sentences, fluent
and simple English, summary boxes Explain all acronyms used Check consistency throughout the proposal, no duplication or
contradictions accepted Foresee mitigation measures for critical tasks, such as partner
replacement or delays
